Just arrived for my H pipe install! Slowly getting some of these parts installed that have been in my basement forever

I didn't have time to read all that stuff but told someone I'd update the progress on my engine swap. I probably should have started a proper thread in case someone needs to pull their engine and it might help them. Today I found some great info here on adjusting the idler pulley on my Whipple to stop the squealing. It seems to have helped but I emailed Whipple support for a replacement just in case.

So far I love it! Seems to keep the deeper stock tone but still gets rowdy in the higher RPM’s. I was really debating on whether to get an X pipe and sell the H but I think I made the right choice with the H. I like the stock tone, just wasn’t loud enough for me

Love my H-pipe. The deeper tone sounds really nice and like you said, quiet mode is still very functional. I drive 90% of the time in Track mode and love the sound. Lots of smiles ahead for you!

Where did you source your PP interior trim?

This is pretty low on my list next to other plans but not sure if I'd want the PP gauges or the GT350 gauges.

Got the trim and gauges on eBay… trim from a 9K ‘19 Bullitt, gauges new.

I really wanted the oil temp gauge, but decided I wanted color gauges more … you know, form over function, lol!

Installed the GT350 rear splash guards. Matches right up with the valance. Not too bad, but it was easier to raise the rear of the car a bit to get better access to the wheel liner clips.

The trim is definitely the annoying / expensive part of it. My interior is in great shape and I worry about buying someone else's trim. Looks like you got a good one!

I hear you on the trim … my car is new and I really didn’t like the idea of “used“ parts on it at this point. That being said, the trim I got is in very good condition… and new just isn’t an option due to the price.

Did a fair amount of driving around yesterday and I’d say 90% was in track mode. It sounds fantastic! Even Normal sounds so much better, everything just has a more crisp sound to it

I had Ordered a set of MPS4s (285/35 19) at Costco a while back and had Costco mount them on new Apex SM-10s (19x10). I had replaced the 20 gorilla locking lug nuts on the factory PP wheels with the factory lug nuts before taking it in to make it a little easier for them and a little less chance they'd mess the finish on the wheels or the Gorillas. Was going to replace the Gorillas when I checked the torque later.

Well, later became today. And none too soon because the torque by my particular Costco employee was all over the place based just on feel of the breaker bar. Gorillas back on now at 150 ft/lbs.

I didn't think they would use a torque wrench, but assumed they used special impact sockets that prevent torquing beyond the socket's target ft/lbs. Are those things even remotely consistent? It felt like some of the nuts took almost twice the force to remove as others and none were close to the effort to put the Gorillas back on. I can understand low torque if they used the wrong impact socket but not the wild variations.

Probably wouldn't anyway, but definitely now won't let Costco do free rotations.

Generally they have a max torque but those can be anywhere from 500 ft/lbs to 2000 ft/lbs. So, without a doubt they just did one or two ugga-duggas on each lug and went on their day. Glad you checked the torque. I check my torque after every time its had the wheels off. I have my race prep shop do all of the maintenance on my cars and even then they sometimes put 120-130 ft/lbs. For people that don't normally work on mustangs 150 ft/lbs is unusually high, but correct.

Put on MP Concepts splitter. Fitment was fairly good but used some bolts on the sides instead of the push pins because no way they were holding it tight enough.

Changed the oil ( hate paying for 5w50!!) gave it a bath
Then took it for a 75 mile drive out country roads
So it was a good day
