I absolutely hated the slop in the body mounted stock shifter. So I can imagine with a shorter throw being the only change I would still hate it. Now that I have the Barton installed - I love every shift. It feels like itās chambering a round every time š
thatās fair. I donāt handle my phone at all while driving tbh. I intentionally bought 6ā cable for CarPlay so it gets plugged in and put in the console the entire drive.
I wonder if using a secondary device would be an even safer option. I have an android that I use for other things that I...
I am unsure what data they would be able to pull from the car if itās connected to it though. My uncertainty is worth paying the few extra bucks. If it was significantly less I would be more inclined to try it without a doubt
I can see it now ā¦
āSir your driving habits down the main straight of Road America saw speeds in excess of 140mph, 100% throttle application, followed by heavy brake application and aggressive steering input. Your rate is now $500 a monthā
I did some very light reading on that before hand and was getting some mixed responses. Some say they got questioned by the milage increase or the data updated after reconnection. This could be totally wrong but I just decided to skip it. Last thing I want is to do something like using my phone...
I think one of the coolest features on the s550 is the fact that the tri-bar on the gen 2 headlights and tail lights were both straight and were uniform. Then with gen 3 they did the same shape again. I thought that really tied the car together front to back. S650 severely lacked those subtle...
Progressive would have been under $100/mo if I signed up for the driving habits tracker but I donāt think anyone with a mustang wants insurance monitoring their throttle inputs š
Just dropped Allstate last month due to an increase. Bought my car in January 22 and was paying ~$94. Renewal came in Feb 24 and it was almost ~$160 for the same car. No accidents and my commute has since dropped to 6 miles one way from 33 one way. So I got rid of them.
Called Progressive - got...
Pull into service, flash back to stock, tech connects FDRS and performs update, flash tune. Car never moves - problem solved š
the dealer already knows about your tune so itās not like you need to hide it.
that depends. If your 10R80 goes out without warranty then expect a pretty hefty repair bill. OE Converter alone is more expensive than an OE clutch. Iād trust the tremec over the 10r80 100% of the time
it doesnāt feel like itās as loud as an aftermarket catback. But the tone is deff more tame in terms of rasp. Iām very happy with it. I wanted loud but not over the top loud with a poor tone
For what itās worth - I have LTH, corsa double-x pipe and factory Mach 1 AE on my GT. It sounds glorious, emissions ready and with quiet mode programmed from 9pm to 9am - the neighbors donāt hate me haha
I work for Zeigler in North Riverside as a parts guy. I have a tech that I completely trust working on my car and nobody else. Happy to help you if needed
if you read further in the manual youāll see that track driving is recommended full synthetic and a change to 5w50. I use motorcraft 5w50 a majority of the time and change after 1 or 2 track days even if milage only increased by 1000-1500
