What replacement fuel filter are you using when running E85? This is a piece of maintenance that I haven’t done yet on this car. Is it located on the fuel pump itself? I recently reviewed the thread about the mystery goo balls. Would like to stay ahead of this if possible. Current mileage is 6800.

How about injector cleaning tools? I saw this tool and wondered if if’s what others are using to prevent having to remove the injectors from the rails?

Don't believe there is a fuel filter on the GT. I know the GT350 has one. The Mach one might. I would just run a tank of 91/93 through it every now and again.

There is a fuel filter its under a splash shield near the middle of the car on the bottom.

Disconnect the FPDM, start the car when it stalls, jack it up and remove the filter, replace, reconnect FPDM, cycle the key a few times and start it up. This is what the service manual says to do.

I didn’t notice a fuel filter in that area on mine when I had that cover off to run my nitrous line. I may have to take a second look, but I’m pretty sure I didn’t see one.

huh
That is very weird, for what its worth I haven't personally checked. Maybe there isn't a filter, we have the same year car so I'm surprised that alldata is inaccurate.

I guess there isn't one

I saw a page from a service manual with an illustration just like that as well, but it only referenced the 5.2 engine.

That must be it, I bought a subscription specifically for the 5.0, but its totally possible that they got confused while writing it.

That's unfortunate, a filter would be nice. They must be using a sock filter in the tank.

That’s exactly what I‘m thinking too.

Just went on Rockauto.com and they are showing a fuel filter.

Just went on a few auto parts stores and they are showing one as well. Not showing the position though.

That filter is for the 5.2’s only. The 5.2’s have dual pumps so there isn’t room for a filter inside the bucket, thus the filter under the car. The gt filter in the bucket isn’t replaceable.

The real mystery is why Ford offers a “fuel system conversion kit” for the 2018+ GT that includes that same filter (plus two nuts and a clip) with no instructions and no obvious place to install it.
