Well, I had loaded 93_PERF which gave me nothing. I didn't download 93_RACE then load it to my vehicle. Ignorance is not bliss in this situation. Anyway, American Muscle walked me through the proper procedure and now what I need to do is put 50 miles, or so, and enjoy the added gains. My next challenge is to convince the dyno shop to give me (gratis???) another dyno, or, at least, a discount on a new one.

Felt the difference? I had a 2012 Mustang GT hand I felt significant difference from sct and air race intake before. Went from 378 to 411 rwhp

Bought and installed (quite painless) a Bama Rev-X Tuner by SCT. Throttle response is much more reactive which is very nice. Although I belong to a local Mustang club they members are more interested in the 60's and 70's Mustangs than my S550. Question is, what do I do next? I have eliminated a supercharger due to cost. So, without going bankrupt or getting a divorce what are my options including this tuner?
Now all you need is a divorce and get a supercharger lol

The canned tunes are just that - universal and largely indistinguishable from Ford OE. They are INTENDED to yield zero gains.

You need to engage a tuner like Unleashed, or Matt (talk to Beefcake) or Steeda. But even then power increases will be tiny at best. The S550 intake and exhaust is already very good and all the aftermarket crap does is change the amount of noise.

The primary benefit of the 3rd party tune is Ford OE sucks ass at throttle connection, tends to rev hang, and do stupid things like dump crazy amount of fuel at certain times, and as a consequence runs out of breath. No, the Coyote won't rev like a F1 v12 by any stretch but it'll pull clean and eagerly to the top with a proper tune.

If you have an Automatic, a tune can fix that shit-show too.

But until you've fixed all of the chassis and suspension warts and moved to good tires on 10" wide wheels, mod'ing the powertrain further is pointless.

I want to maximize my money spent. When I put my gas pedal down I want to feel I spent my money well.
The answer to this question is always a supercharger. ESS is probably the cheapest right now.

Long tube headers are cool, but I'm blown on stock headers and fuel its what's holding me back right now. Long tube headers are expensive and so much stuff has to come off and be taken apart for for the install, and for not a lot of speed in my opinion, but you will notice a difference.

An e85 tune from a reputable tuner (not bama) would be good. Suspension mods are always something you can feel and notice every time you drive

Yup this. As was said very early on the very first thing would be to ditch the canned tune on the device and go with a real tune from a reputable tuner. The device should be used as a tool to load up custom tunes, not for the tunes that come on it. Then, tune for e85 if available in your area and add some long tubes at the same time. This will get you some nice power increases in the absence of going FI.

All of my prior Mustangs had obnoxious loud exhaust systems and I have no desire to change my stock exhaust atm. I’m just trying to keep a sleeper and I’m not trying to impress the cops and give them extra money for being loud lol. Don’t get me wrong, these newer 5.0 have some pretty badass sounds coming out of exhaust

If you have e85 run that. Should gain 15-20hp.

Get a custom tuner. The Bama tunes are not good.

If you want to take it further get a Holley low-ram intake manifold, pmas fender-well intake, catless long tube headers, and a 3-inch exhaust.

But again you could just save for a base supercharger and make more power on the street then you would likely use, especially if you are not into racing.

Ortiz tune ftw. Takes a couple weeks to get done but an actual tune makes a ton of difference.

Based off your input in this thread, long tubes should be at the bottom of the list for the bang for the buck you are looking for. They are expensive, fairly difficult to install, and they will make your car much louder, even with the stock exhaust attached. On a NA car the gains will be minimum and mostly found at the top of the RPM range. "Cheap" long tubes are $700ish and you can get into the $3k range for the premium brands. just not worth it in my opinion and I HAVE them. Save your money for suspension mods, FI, and brakes. If your car is an auto, save up for an ESS supercharger, $5-6k is a lot of money, I know, but it is, by far, the best bang for your buck.
