Less than 15 minutes… I spent more time downloading the software and making sure I had the most recent version than actually installing. Best part was I didn’t have to remove the seat or door sill panel to get to the connector.
Yeah, I was looking at the instructions and was thinking that they were going through a lot of steps the get there, but didn't study it close enough to really understand.

Can you get the the USB connector with the panels in place (to make updates or changes), or do you need to pop the panels?

The module sits behind the panel, so you’d have to pop the, to get to the USB… the don't give you much in terms of length of the connectors.

Hey all, so first mod was taking the dealer advertising surrounds of the plates. Second mod was the Ford Performance hood struts. Sorta went well. Passenger side kept twisting the base when closing and opening the hood. So I had to reef (Super torque) on it to stop. Messed my battery cover a bit. Template for the hole is off for the lower left bracket plus I did the cut so I can remove the battery cover without removing the lower rod. These should have been a factory item. Come on Ford!! Pics below.

Washed and clayed today. Nothing like the look of freshly clayed car :) But the process gets you so close that you find every flaw and blemish

Also got a new toy today. I'll use it tomorrow to apply sealant and wax.

m While the PPF edge is barely noticeable on the hood and fenders, we would have to cut around the GT emblems, or remove and replace. Didn't like either option.
I feel like I am missing something and this is a stupid question. But where do you have GT emblems?

PPF the whole car and the next day some teenager on their phone plows into you and destroys the car. I think he’s just playing off likelihood…
Their insurance would cover your PPF. Only issue might be if your insurance wont cover it and you hit something. Geico had no issue adding $15k of performance parts to the policy but wont let me add the PPF.

How much did the $15k extra coverage run you? I have Geico but I’m considering switching to Hagerty to cover all my extra nonsense on the car…

Its $90, so $15 per month. Not sure if $1 per $1k is a standard charge or its just how it worked out on my policy.

On the fenders.....if they did PPF on the entire fender, they cut around the emblems...or remove and replace...

Ceramic coated the wheels and my little helper immediately covered them in finger prints and then we went for a drive and they got covered in dust. Such is my life, can’t complain :)

Man, this is the second best-looking car I've seen with a [REDACTED] GT500 hood. I think you're missing a gurney flap on that GT500 spoiler.

Actually some of them are the Model 3. Which aren’t even the most expensive Teslas. I dunno, maybe it’s a Tesla thing.
When I was researching PPF, a LOT of the results I got were about Teslas or from Tesla forums. The shop I got my PPF done always has a Tesla or two there for PPF. The theory we talked about seems to be there is a small contingent of Tesla owners who think there car is something very special. In general, a very small percentage of car owners ever even consider PPF. So if say .1% of people ever get PPF on there car but .5% of Tesla owners do, its going to seem like a lot.

I have always looked at it the opposite as far as value. I hate getting any scratches or chips, but my Mustang is my daily driver so I got PPF. If I had say a GT that I drove once a month to a car show, I dont really see PPF as that important.
