Quick question, how many people here already have or plan to protect their car with a clear wrap, vs just drive it unprotected, vs another option such as a ceramic coat. Also for those who have wrapped, what’s the best option since there are the decals. Just wrap over it and make everything glossy? Or has anyone experimented using more of a satin wrap on them?

The plan is to drive straight home, a wash, and then apply a DIY Adams graphene coating kit I got from Amazon. Formerly a Liquid Glass user.

I usually just drive unprotected.
On a Challenger widebody I had, I had PPF installed on the front bumper, side fender extensions, side mirrors.....and a rock chip got me on the leading edge of one of the hood vents.
On a Corvette, I had the whole front and sides protected from windshield forward....a rock kicked up and got me on the top of the rear fender.
So unless the whole thing is PPF'd, rocks still find the vulnerable spots.
Ceramic coat is something I'd consider, but not sure how that fares against rocks.

Plus, whenever I do all that, the next cool thing comes along and I sell it.
I never get my money back.

Finally got my window sticker today, after getting pushed back so many times. It will be a year June 29 that I have been waiting for this vehicle, after getting canceled last year. Let's hope this vehicle makes the production line on June 13th, as was indicated by Ford Performance. I have a lot of plans for this car once I get it. Good luck to all of you waiting still.
The sticker shows a 6/17n blend date. That is the earliest it will hit the line. Maybe they start sooner. I had a blend date of 5/27. It hit the line on 6/7.

FJG hood stripe is different from other colours, FJG can be PPF'ed (glossy or matte PPF), others can't so it's cut around the stripe (as a whole or only the matte part). More info in those topics.

Well, it might mean that they push me back even further than the 17th. I have had four push backs already. Question I have is the mode of transportation says convoy. Typically, if I see Rail there, it is transported by Class 1 (train). Is Convoy transported by truck?

Asap, I plan to have it PPF in critical spots and ceramic the rest where the decals are and once it comes in I’ll confirm with my guy doing the work for his expert advice

That is correct. I think convoy seems to be a much luckier/better option

Yes. No rail will be involved.

Well, that may be something on the bright side getting the vehicle delivered faster and not waiting for a full unit train. Maybe they figured waiting over a year is punishment enough. Thanks.

Did anyone who ordered from Grainger get a purchase agreement when they ordered the car, I’m not talking about the sales order.
