OoOoOooooo…. PPI Art Series…. Had a few of those in my prior Mustangs, and the series before that (I forget the name, but they were just plain black with red writing). PPI Amps are great, reliable and high quality, even with them being “old school” today.

I still have a PPI 5440 in my 94 Cobra. It used to be hooked up to an Alpine 7949, but I had sold the Alpine and it’s been running off a Nakamichi CD400 (very clean sound, simplistic head unit). I have old school MB Quart 3-way separates up front and in the rear, along with a 10” old school round Kicker Solobaric in proper size box in the trunk. I used to run JL Audio subs, but just liked the Kicker Solo after trying it. That system is very loud and hits hard to this day.

I still have an extra, brand new KSb 10” that I bought when I bought the one that’s in the Cobra…. These things today, in their original box are worth upwards of $500…. Even the Alpine 7949’s, can’t touch them under $500 for a complete deck with the original cage (I’ve even seen those as high as $1k). I’ve seen the varying PPI Art Series and the 5440’s get good money too…. Amazing how that old school audio equipment is still sought after today.
Nobody makes stuff like that anymore. All made in the US (Arizona I think). I had the A600 and an A404, both white Art Series. There were also black Art Series amps. They had red writing and had the strange triangle and circle heatsinks. If you knew the right people, you could get the Arts in almost any color you wanted and some had the PCB screen printed on the heatsink in a contrasting color. I also had a Power Class PC275. It was metallic charcoal with the red lettering. That was my favorite amp of all time. I’m fairly sure the Power Class was the last before they got bought out by Orion and whoever owns them now. They are a far cry from what they used to be.

Are these new parts, or NOS, or what? Is the company still around or resurrected? I thought they closed up several years ago. I’m fairly sure they were made in the US.
Alive and well, brand new. German made audio equipment. Just hard to come by here in the states. They say German engineered and made in the U.S. but there is a QA sticker on the box that is signed by the QA person and says made in Germany. Who knows..

Where did you get them?

I actually think the matte finish looks really good against the body color because you can actually see the design of the part, rather than it just blending in.

I caved and paid people to fit my Steeda IRS kit and rear braces. :giggle: What a difference. Noticed the improvement in handling straight away. I'm doing my rear vertical links tomorrow.

Hopefully we won't soon be talking about adding a KX7400-TY Electrical Motor Upgrade!
