You have pics of these? I'm looking for a smoked/black lens taillight assembly myself!
here

even after sealing connector to the light, these failed after a couple months. random LEDs dying.
So not water ... but likely current limiting resistors not high enough wattage.

Diode dynamics $$, but quality product

The amazon ones do come with a lifetime warranty, but $10 postage to replace a set (you keep the old ones)
@MCS Pics of the same LED's on my car:

s550_newbie what kind of speaker enclosure you gonna put in back? Or is that an enclosure also, looks like i see a port hole on the side.
There is a hole on each side for routing the power and ground on one side and the RCA's and Speaker connections on the other. They will come down opposites sides of the interior and make a 90 degree bend into those holes so all the wiring will be concealed within the AMP rack.

I have 2 Ground Zero 8" subs in factory ported enclosures that I was able to get a hold off, not easy finding Ground Zero stuff. https://www.ground-zero-audio.com/en/produkt/gzrb-20spl/
And they are actually quite small for the sound they put out. They will sit against the rear of the amp rack. At least that is the plan.
Looking forward to seeing this project come together. How does that rack fit in your trunk? It's huge.

It fits, it goes from side to side in the trunk but it does fit. Also plan to use quick disconnects so I can remove it easily all in one go.

All packed and ready to roll on the first trip of the season. Heading to Myrtle Beach for a couple days and will be on the road for a week. First stop I’ll be staying in Hagerstown and then on to MB. I found some nice backroads so I’ll be taking the longer way home. 😎

Even I forgot to say that the longer one goes on the driver's side.

Hey, I clearly implied I wasn't using my brain then, what makes you think I'm gonna use it now? :crackup:Kidding. I don't remember. Something makes me think the passenger side was longer, but I would hold it up and feel for the holes instead of fastening front and not getting back to align.

Thems gotta be some serious suction cups eh?
Although I know savagegeese, when they go to Autobahn in Chicago, put up legit Nikon (or whatever brand they got) cameras, like the big bulky things and it doesn't move, so I'm guessing the authorities on video/pics probably got the mounts figured out.

Did my first real mods this week.

I got my Steeda Lowering springs installed + Steeda Trident rims with Nitto tires. I also did the blackout emblems myself minus the front Pony as Steeda Canada took the liberty of doing that for me while it was in the shop for the springs and rims. Thanks fellas.

Next on the list; GT500 spoiler (ordered) and GT500 hood (ordered) then C-Series Cervinis upper and lower grills, intake manifold, CAI and a tune. Want to stay around the 500 whp range as I'm not 25 anymore, or even 45 anymore LOL

Also, am thinking blackout taillights. I have a kit I ordered from American Muscle that I f'd up when putting the very first one on. Now just looking at a full OEM assembly. Does anyone have any ideas that look close to the style for AM's taillight covers? Without cracking and painting the factory ones?

Swapped out the single USB hub in the center console for a dual. Purposefully disabling the USB under the start button. I have my reasons... I am moving my audio DSP controller (not shown here) to this spot for better ergonomics. I was always reaching around the stick shift to press the buttons and it was annoying the hell out of me. Plus, I hate seeing charging cables. Now I can put my phone in the center console, plugged in for Android Auto and have my USB music stick all working in one place. Purchased from ebay Ford parts dealer for $58 US part# HC3Z-19A387-F

Finished it yesterday but got the opportunity to post the results today.. I changed out my hood heat extractors, or hood vents. I had the Carbon fiber ones on there. But i recently noticed a spot where the clear was lifting. So i decided to change them out with the Roush style heat extractor set. That was a fun little job. I like the look... The only thing i wish is that they were gloss and not flat. I might see about wrapping them in gloss vinyl later on.

My 2 cents, I like the matt finish. I think the contrast looks really good.

Ground Zero?! Wow it’s been a long while since I’ve seen that name! I had a set of nuclear 10” and passive radiators back in the day running off a PPI A600 Art Series amp. Would love to see more on what you have.

I heard one of these 8" subs and it sounded like a single 12" easy. They are still packed in their boxes at the moment. They can supposedly take 1000w for competition use or day to day use about 500w each at 1 ohm.
I'll post pics along the way. Hopefully not too long to get this installed. Can't wait to hear these Focal ES KX3's. Trying to decide if I want to run 400 watts into the crossover or bi-amp them with 125w + 125w.

Are these new parts, or NOS, or what? Is the company still around or resurrected? I thought they closed up several years ago. I’m fairly sure they were made in the US.

Where did you get them?

I actually think the matte finish looks really good against the body color because you can actually see the design of the part, rather than it just blending in.

OoOoOooooo…. PPI Art Series…. Had a few of those in my prior Mustangs, and the series before that (I forget the name, but they were just plain black with red writing). PPI Amps are great, reliable and high quality, even with them being “old school” today.

I still have a PPI 5440 in my 94 Cobra. It used to be hooked up to an Alpine 7949, but I had sold the Alpine and it’s been running off a Nakamichi CD400 (very clean sound, simplistic head unit). I have old school MB Quart 3-way separates up front and in the rear, along with a 10” old school round Kicker Solobaric in proper size box in the trunk. I used to run JL Audio subs, but just liked the Kicker Solo after trying it. That system is very loud and hits hard to this day.

I still have an extra, brand new KSb 10” that I bought when I bought the one that’s in the Cobra…. These things today, in their original box are worth upwards of $500…. Even the Alpine 7949’s, can’t touch them under $500 for a complete deck with the original cage (I’ve even seen those as high as $1k). I’ve seen the varying PPI Art Series and the 5440’s get good money too…. Amazing how that old school audio equipment is still sought after today.

Broke my cherry on paint correction. Left side is 20k miles, never touched other than car wash...and not the gentle kind. A few chips but I'll deal with those next. Used Meguiar's polish and a DA polisher. It's a chore. Only did the hood and partial bumper so far. Hopefully it lasts a while... because Black. Didn't realize how swirly it was until I fixed it.
