Finished it yesterday but got the opportunity to post the results today.. I changed out my hood heat extractors, or hood vents. I had the Carbon fiber ones on there. But i recently noticed a spot where the clear was lifting. So i decided to change them out with the Roush style heat extractor set. That was a fun little job. I like the look... The only thing i wish is that they were gloss and not flat. I might see about wrapping them in gloss vinyl later on.

Can you post the link for the heat extractors, please?
Is that an aftermarket steering wheel or a cover?

@15GTPP, are you just freshening it up or upgrading to high performance components? Your car looks very clean on the bottom btw. I’m going to guess that it never sees foul weather, or it gets wiped down often.

I have the dual intakes, too, but mine are a close match to Orange Fury. Yours look more like the other orange colors. Did you open up all the cells and if so, what technique did you use?

Hey, post a photo of your '70 Boss 302 please!
One step forward and two steps back, also installing a ZL1Addons Tow Hook and the shaft does not even go through the grille opening the tow hook mount moves the radiator support brace back about 3/8" so of course the passenger snorkel no longer fits.

I used a DeWalt 20V Orbital sander starting with 60 grit, moving around and stopping frequently to avoid melting the plastic. I just removed the grille brace and did not remove the upper grille.

Pictures are all before I was completely finished and show a lot of plastic dust. I forgot to take a before picture so the first one reflect a few seconds sanding.

I have had the snorkels for over a year and I suspect they are a match for Competition Orange.

Sorry no pictures of the Boss 302 to share, I have had it since 1984 and it needs lots of TLC.

Yeah just freshening it up. The kit comes with gpz clutches which include a couple more clutches in the e and f drum. The car only has 6900 miles but I wanted to get this done before anything happen.

Yeah you’re right the car doesn’t see any bad weather. I also remove and wash the front wheels to clean the wheel linear easier. I try to keep the car as clean as possible. The car has also been up on the racks lately so I’ve managed to do some wiping down.

You have pics of these? I'm looking for a smoked/black lens taillight assembly myself!

here

even after sealing connector to the light, these failed after a couple months. random LEDs dying.
So not water ... but likely current limiting resistors not high enough wattage.

Diode dynamics $$, but quality product

The amazon ones do come with a lifetime warranty, but $10 postage to replace a set (you keep the old ones)

Did my first real mods this week.

I got my Steeda Lowering springs installed + Steeda Trident rims with Nitto tires. I also did the blackout emblems myself minus the front Pony as Steeda Canada took the liberty of doing that for me while it was in the shop for the springs and rims. Thanks fellas.

Next on the list; GT500 spoiler (ordered) and GT500 hood (ordered) then C-Series Cervinis upper and lower grills, intake manifold, CAI and a tune. Want to stay around the 500 whp range as I'm not 25 anymore, or even 45 anymore LOL

Also, am thinking blackout taillights. I have a kit I ordered from American Muscle that I f'd up when putting the very first one on. Now just looking at a full OEM assembly. Does anyone have any ideas that look close to the style for AM's taillight covers? Without cracking and painting the factory ones?

Almost finished my custom AMP rack for the trunk. Not sure if I like it, then again it's not done either. Thoughts? Found a set of Focal KX3's for $1299.00 and couldn't pass those up.

I like where you are going with it. Where are you planning to mount your subwoofer/subwoofers?

I have 2 Ground Zero 8" subs in factory ported enclosures that I was able to get a hold off, not easy finding Ground Zero stuff. https://www.ground-zero-audio.com/en/produkt/gzrb-20spl/
And they are actually quite small for the sound they put out. They will sit against the rear of the amp rack. At least that is the plan.
