After looking at 1000's of wheels till my eyes were bleeding I finally decided on Forgestar CF5V in black because black package.
Still waiting on the vendor to get back with me on pricing.
In the meantime I ordered these sweet red center caps that I'd seen somewhere, to go on the new wheels.
I'm excited to eventually have some semblance of traction for a change.

Kyle: I have the Forestar CF5 in silver on my VB. Thinking doing calipers red and red center caps might look good. Where did you source them? TIA! Jim

Finally got around to changing the oil. Was more than 1000 miles late, but I didn't want to mess with it in the cold.

Picked up the PUP oil deal with rebate from Walmart.

Change was the fastest and cleanest yet. I use the Ronin drain plug. The flex spout you see fit my Amsoil jugs but not the Pennzoil so I had to use a funnel this time.

The foil is to wrap over the harness, and the cutout 44oz drink cup goes around the FL820s filter. It is my hack for having the filter oil drain past the frame.

Why are you using Pennzoil Platinum High Mileage? That's really designed for very old cars with seals that are weeping, since it has some additives to swell them a little. Or is that for another car?

Yeah, I guess I'll have to do this all over again. :frown:
Silly me for thinking "High mileage" meant "holds up better between oil changes".

Sorry to be that guy :frown:

I personally wouldn't want to run a high mileage oil in a newer car just because of what they're designed to do. But it being in there for a few days shouldn't hurt anything.

I'm very glad you were That Guy for me! Problem is, I may not be able to donate the outgoing oil to a friend with an older car because they typically did not spec such a thin oil back in those days.
