The sweet emblems. They are like 5hp each. The rated HP in the MACH 1 is 480...GT is 460. What gives the MACH 1 the 20 extra ponies?
all built on the same line. in addition to a few extra parts, ford has a priest come in and bless the mach 1 motors. the radiators are actually prefilled at the factory with holy water as it helps them to stay cool on track. not an accident that the mach 1 beat the gt350R at VIR......The rated HP in the MACH 1 is 480...GT is 460. What gives the MACH 1 the 20 extra ponies? Is it just the FP intake and tune?
I think the Mach 1 sill plates offer at least 10 each. The sweet emblems. They are like 5hp each.
So wait, ive got a twin turbo and didnt know it!?V8 is just two detuned Ecoboost in V formation haha
I bet most of the HP is coming from the throttle body and tune.GT350 intake manifold, larger throttle body, GT350 style intake system, and ECU tweak.
Same parts as the 19-20 Bullitt.
uh all 20 of it is.I bet most of the HP is coming from the throttle body and tune.
The GT350 IM has shorter runners than the GTs, will make slightly more power but above 7k rpm. The FP tune can make the same power (I’m guessing) via more aggressive timing since the deal is, the owner is obligated to use 91+. The M1/Bullitt has no such agreement (= warranty requirement). The Ford tune/throttle body/CAI requires 91 octane, the Mach 1 does not. I believe most of the 20HP comes from marketing.
same PEAK torque at the same previously reported RPM. The extra PEAK 20HP just means the torque at that PEAK HP point is sligthly higher than it was before. It's all nonsense. But no worries, Ford thought better of it and took 10HP back off the table for 2022 so there would be less angst, wailing and gnashing of teeth.Same torque at same rpm yet 20 more HP also at same rpm. Aliens.
I was being diplomatic.uh all 20 of it is.
