I'll gladly sacrifice some straight line grip for improvements in handling and daily drivability.The Nitto's 555R'2 are definitely a better street tire than the MT ET Street SS's. (IMO) The stiffer sidewall on the Nitto's will give up some drag strip performance because of that, but they drive phenomenal on the street and are cheaper than the R888 from ToYo yet offer the same treadwear rating. I think you will really like them. I'm on my second set.
Looking forward to trying them out, will give some feedback.
Yea the Toyos are a bit ridiculous pricing wise ($530 per tire for the size I want vs $390 for the Nittos). Tire prices are a bit out of control right now...same as most other things I guess
