What's up. I know this has probably been covered alot. I've searched and can't really find anything. I'm currently tuned by lund racing n/a on e85. 19gt a10 longtubes and e85. I ordered a Ess kit and need a retune . Lund wants 500 bucks to retune for the supercharger . I have no issue with the price or there tuning. I have no complaints. Just curious if another tuning option should be looked at since I have to pay anyways. Has anyone been boosted and swapped from lund to anyone else and picked up power et etc. Car will be on 93 until I can get a fuel system. Thanks

$500 is actually pretty cheap for supercharged tune. Lund is one of the best in the business when it comes to boost and they’ve already tuned several of these kits. I’d stick with them. An I’m not even tuned by them.

You won't beat that price because your a returning customer. I looked into others to try something new and all the big names are pretty comparable price wise. I've been tuned by Lund for 60k miles now. 16k of that is boosted.

There is also Palm Beach Dyno who has tuned for this kit, I did reach out to them to get some information about getting tuned by them, but wasn't really thrilled with the response I got from their customer service rep and took them off the list.

I've purchased a G3 kit and I'm anxiously awaiting it's arrival (and winter to go away). Wengerd tuning is mentioned several times in the ESS thread and the feedback has been positive. When I reached out to him he was very quick to respond and actually answered all of my questions. This is where I'm planning to get tuned once the kit is installed. Not sure you can really go wrong with any of them.

if you wanna reach out to another great tuner. OZ tuning is who tuned my ess car. It’s been great.

If you change to someone else you’d pay for tuning + device. So consider that would be closer to 1000 if not more

They all push the same buttons. Combine that with the fact that fuel quality, cam timing, compression, and boost level only allows so much ignition timing.

I recommend the RTD tune device for all our customers.

Unlike some companies who lock the devices to them in a attempt to keep you with their tuning the RTD devices are not locked to any single tuner .

Also the RTD device paired with the TDN app allow you to load our tunes from your Smartphone as well as datalog.

No need for a laptop

Both Lund or Palm Beach Dyno have these cars dialed in regarding NA or FI builds. For the most part the cars will make around the same power if all of the variables are the same but since you have an a10 the shift points may be different from each company. I’ve had both on my cars and it’s like flipping a coin to me with no wrong answer. They’re both very close in how they perform so just comes down to personal preference to me. If you have Lund stick with them and you’ll be gtg.

I am currently in the midst of a tune with PBD on my newly boosted Procharger setup. I am super pleased with the responsiveness of the tuner, almost instantaneous email response. At the current stage of the process the tune unlocked a beast and I still have a data log to 7500 RPM to go. Win for PBD!

Stay with your current tuner lund reputation precede them and they already have a base on your car

Can't go wrong sticking with Lund for the $500 supercharger revision. We use Lund on our shop builds, customer builds and personal cars. They tune my 1300+ whp 2018 BL Fab car.
