Excellent results from a customers car recently. He grudge races so wishes to remain anonymous. 10R80 car with Circle D converter. Stock engine, base G3 kit (non X) G3 intercooler, 100mm pulley.
Shoot me an email with your order info and I can see if I can help. Check the ribs on the 10 rib idlers and make sure the belt is all the way towards the engine side of the pulleys
You should not be getting any belt slip at all with the 120mm pulley. The only way that’s possible is if you have a severely damaged belt, a contaminated belt (oil/coolant) or a broken/ extremely weak tensioner. You can run down to the 100mm without any worry of belt slip. Smaller than 100 we...
Yes, it would be very simple to do. Just buy the valve and a length of hose and route it back into the intake tube. Find a fitting and some sealant and insert it in a place that makes sense. Here’s the valve you’d need...
Yes he can purchase the Tial recirculating BOV and route it back into the intake tube. With the tube being silicone it would be fairly simple to insert a fitting with dab of sealant. The entire supercharger system would be virtually silent this way.
Congrats to Courtney this weekend at SCT women’s class. New PB in her 10r80 mustang! ESS G3X supercharger and still stock engine and transmission! Incredible results. Trap speed is enough for mid 8’s once the 1/8th mile is dialed in. Still plenty left in it. And a few pulley sizes yet to go...
For a Bullitt you would order a standard GT kit but just be sure to mention in the order notes that it’s a Bullitt and to include the 87mm TB hose. We’ll take care of it!
Check and see if the valve is functioning properly. Have someone start the car while you look at the valve from outside. Once the car starts at idle the valve should open slightly, give it some revs and it should open fully.
We offer a trade in program where you can upgrade your head unit from the G2 all the way up to the G4. No bracket changes or anything necessary. For example the G2 to G3 conversion is $1195. Just gives customers peace of mind that if you do outgrow your G2 it’s an easy and cheap solution to...
I highly doubt it’s belt slip. The griptec 95 is still a 3.75” pulley and we have plenty of them out there even 90mm and 87.5mm with no slip issues. It’s possible that the belt has been compromised/contaminated from oil or coolant etc. it’s possible it’s a filter restriction at that power level...
Normal, I get the clamps fairly tight. The specs are 90 inch lbs max torque on those specific T-bolt clamps. To be honest I just have a feel for it and use my 1/4” impact gun.
