Thanks. It turned out even better than I was expecting.
No, didn't remove it. Would've been easier for sure. Still it wasn't too bad as I just kept turning the wheel so I was working at around the 6 o'clock position. I watched a YouTube video on it about half a dozen times on it before I started.
Do you have a link to the eBay vendor? I’m going to pick one up and give it a go. Thanks again!

Finally got it done. 4-1/2 hours total stitching the eBay special leather steering wheel cover on. I think it turned out pretty good. I’m happy with it.

Wow, great job (and patience)! Did you remove the wheel or leave it mounted and did the cover install from inside the car?

Thanks.
Did it from the drivers seat with wheel in place. Yes lots of patience ! I just took my time and took a few breaks.

I wonder if a small dab of contact cement (headliner glue etc) would have been helpful...
It came with 2-sided tape but I didn’t use it just in case things didn’t work out. I didn’t want to have to clean up whatever mess that would’ve made. I did use masking tape in a few places to line things up. Like the red center marker and where the pattern changes. Made it a lot easier.

Thanks. Ya, my buddy told me I should stitch leather covers on all my hand tools now.

I have to say, the WD40 degreaser really worked out well. If you make a mess during your oil change. Spray it on, let it sit for five minutes or so. And rinse it off with a fine spray on your garden hose. After that, I did a good wipe with some rags, and put a fan under it for about an hour. No residue!

Happy Camper again! 👍😎🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍
Does it really? NICE. Wife got a used F-150. One of the newer ones that also has the composite pan/plastic plug. EVERY video was like "Careful, oil shoots out fast." My dumb*ss was like "nah, I got this with this tiny pan."
Well almost an arm burn later and 6 quarts of oil in my driveway, I was proven wrong.

Thing is, I'm on septic system and french drains, can you really flush these near that? Last I want is needing my tank pumped.

Priorities! Good man and cheers to you. 🍸

I took the car to the dealer closest to my work for a 15k oil change and tire rotation. My first time at a Ford dealer. Pretty conflicted about the "experience" but I'm super-cool with the $128 bill. Everything else I've owned would be twice that so... *shrugs*
Yeah, the 5.0 engines take 10qts. If you do synthetic, gets pricey. I thought my 110-140 bills per oil change were pricey, but apparently not.

Saw a few of you guys do this, so I jumped on board

Pardon my ignorance, what's the point of this? Is it visual, or are you guys having issues with these? Honest question, not trying to be smart.

Did 1st oil change ($25!), added UPR oil drain valve and completed addition of PP1 bracing in front by installing lower brace and cover...

Can you share a link to the plug? Does it make oil change faster/easier?

Hung out with my little local club of mustang friends.

Some men buy "jewelry" for their car. Especially when they feel the need to buy something affordable.
Examples of concealed items are these plastic covers, shock tower covers, etc. Or items such as billet hood release lever or metal dead pedal.
I generally don't spend for cosmetic mods that aren't easily seen by others. But I DON'T fault anyone that does!

Just search "drain plug for F150". You should get results for UPR and Ronin. I use Ronin on my Mustang and Explorer ST.

Start with search for "cars and coffee near me". You can also try Facebook search for same or for "Mustang club".

Penzoil full synth is only $45 for 10qt. Add filter. You need to shop better.

He's gotta be going to NAPA. Advanced, AutoZone, O'Reilly .............. Much less. Even Walmart.
