Yep, no matter how far away, no matter how many spaces available, someone always has to park next to you

We have that same bike rack, but for 4 bikes. I love it.
On your Mustang? 2 fat bikes and the rack are at the limit for tongue weight for me....

I had one over the weekend that sent me over the edge. I had to make a stop at Home Depot and parked out in the middle of nowhere, hugging the curb on an end spot. When I came out this piece of trash 90's Chevy truck with an open trailer in tow was parked about 6 inches from me. I was steaming pissed because despite not finding any damage, and only superficial rub marks that came off with spit, this was obviously intentional. I considered waiting for them to come out to start a fight over it. The thing was too, their entire rig was so trash I couldn't even do anything to it for revenge. The windshield was already broken, there was so much rust you could see through most of the body panels, there wasn't a square inch that didn't have a dent anywhere on this thing. I did a careful walk around, and after seeing no permanent damage calmed myself down. Normally I'm not a vindictive person, really, but I must have been in a mood that day because I had to do something to be like SCREW YOU! So I chewed up a piece of gum then stuck it under the door handle heh.... Whatever, I know it's really petty but probably far better than starting a fight or being caught on camera slashing tires.

Back in 1987 I had the new 5.0l hatch and had an a$$hat park a POS van right on my drivers door, even though I was parked out on the back 40 at the Military Circle Mall in Norfolk.. Guess he though that was going to funny...

I had to crawl over the console from the passenger side.

Not sure what happened but I noticed he had four cut valve stems as I driving off.

Slight variation on the theme. I was on vacation in a brand new car less than 1000Km on it parking up for the night in a hotel. Find a nice spot away from others under a light beside a wall. Come out later to get something from the car and a rig truck is parked pretty much on top of me so I cant get in one side of car and now I am trying not to scratch the door on the wall on the other side.

As it happens the guy comes out to his truck and I let rip. He waits for me to finish, looks at me like I'm an asshole and explains his tools are in the truck and the only camera in the car park is looking at this spot which is well lit and he's lost tools from this location before.

Oh

right

emmm my bad

Carry some flush cuts and make the valve stem on 1 tire disappear. One tire for each spot of damage. They'll learn real quick.

I thought I was the only person this happens to! No one ever believes me when I tell them I have shitty cars following me. Good to hear I’m not going crazy!

The only time I've cut a valve stem was in my front yard. I used to live near the Football Hall Of Fame, and every single Hall Of Fame Game you'd get cheap-ass people that would park right in front of your driveway making it impossible to leave or pull into your drive. It pissed me off so much because the Hall Of Fame only charged $5 for parking at the time. Well one day I come home from work to find not only my driveway parked shut but someone also PARKED IN MY YARD. My neighbors said they tried to warn them there would be consequences but they were like, "go eff yourselves" and walked off. So, I snipped all four. The idiots even tried putting air back in with a compressor Hahahahah!

I went to the gym yesterday and I parked toward the back where no cars were but a pickup parked next to me anyway. I didn't get any door dings. I wonder how long it will be before we new Mustang owners will just start parking like normal and think no one really wants to get dings on their car new or old?
I stopped parking my cars 'away" from everyone else a long time ago when I realized if I am driving a car, it is inevitable that some blemish is going to happen no matter how careful you are. Parking far away from everyone else just sends a message to some people that you, or your car, is special and they purposely park next to you just to give you the proverbial middle finger.

What's wrong with wanting to take care of your car that you paid good money for. The car maybe something you worked hard for and you may think it's special or your dream car. People shouldn't want to take a dump on you for that. If that was the case no one should dress up for weddings either. What do you think you're special? What about graduations, should someone rip up your cap and gown, least you feel you are special and accomplished something. Sounds stupid to me. Nothing wrong with wanting to park YOUR vehicle away from others. Your response is what's wrong with everyone today. Can't be happy for someone else. Don't hate. Congratulate.

Depending on how many people are around and how much time you have, me and a buddy of mine used to loosen the valve stems of all 4 tires with a stem tightener and toss the stem caps. If you loosen them just a little, the tires will hold air for about 2-3 hours. When the asshole's tires go flat, they usually aren't anywhere near your car.

Since our Mustang's aren't plain looking cars, I get concerned that whoever's tires I flatten will remember my car and key it or flatten my tires later on somewhere.
The bad part of living in a small town I guess....

I have to admit, my valve core removal tool may have accidentally fallen into the valve STEM of this car that parked way too close and put a big dimple/ding on the side of my then brand new 2010 genesis coupe... the valve STEM accidentally had the cap removed when the stem core tool fell in (all the way from my glovebox I might add), and then when I tried to remove the tool, i may have rotated it multiple times, and then when i heard a woosh, i may have noticed it and put the fallen cap back on for the owner without the valve core, but just ever so slightly loose.

I too, figured, that by the time the car had a flat, they wouldn't realize who/where/what, and they'd be more confused on why they can't put air in their flat tire...
