I was thinking of having this installed on my just purchased GT ................. Uh .......... Nope! For about $5K more, I'm buying the blower. :rockon: Sam Pack 5 Star Ford is one of the largest FP/Roush dealer-installers in the country. It's a no brainer. The cost will be rolled into my note. I may even substitute Ecoboost emblems for the 5.0 badges ................. :cwl::handsinair:

I would only do that badge job if you went TT not Supercharged :)

I'm not doing a Roush conversion. Simply having the FP/Roush FI installed. I don't need every redneck with a a jacked up dually or, ricer wanting to race me. I prefer the "walk quietly and carry a big stick" mode of transportation. Rapid Red is about as loud a color as I can tolerate. I also despise polished or chrome wheels btw.

EcoBoost don't have badges. Just the horse on tail panel and different grille.

what if your car is a 2018 CPO? wouldi be able to go from a 5yr/100k to a 3yr/60k? or does the whole original date thing make it worse for a CPO car?
Everyone hung up on warranty - remember it's three years from date of car purchase, not kit installation. So someone with 2018 doesn't have much of it left.

I don't know to be honest but don't think CPO changes anything. Ford Performance warranty is 3 years after in service date (so original purchase). I don't know how can anything be worse than that ;-)

Talked to my dealer service advisor. He told me that Ford would be willing to warranty the drivetrain with a Ford Racing power kit during the original factory warranty. The other issue for me was the CARB EO #. If you have a 2018 Mustang GT and have 30k miles on her, any mechanical defect should have already reared its ugly head.

To Mikey, a lot of us like the feel and sound of a NA motor. Supercharging is always a better bang for the buck when it comes down to hp:dollar ratio.

^^ not to get off the subject of this thread. I have a 2018, purchased June 2018, the one thing I am worried about is the Mt82 transmission, if it's going to mess up, I am hoping by June 2021 before warranty expires lol. Cross fingers it never messes up though. Shifting is getting is a little notchy.

Off and on, cold or warm engine. I just feel like the shifting is smooth somedays and others like its not hitting the gears right. I dont get locked out though. That's happened once a while back going to 3rd. I am changing trans oil and also adding steeda trans bushing mount. I have a steeda tri x short throw shifter. Just the shaft not the whole box. And its been fine for over a year. 11,300 miles on the car.

Sounds like a shifter adjustment issue, not the tranny. The tranny doesn't act like that when stock. Most of the time is an adjustment of the reverse lockout screw. Look it up. Good luck.
