This looks like correlation vs causation. Without proof, you can only infer what is happening at the insurance company. An internal review of the vehicles they are insuring is far more likely. It's also very possible they raised your rates because of their own financials. They wouldn't tell you "because our 3rd quarter missed guidance by 3%, that's why we're squeezing more money out of you. They're a corporation, not your friend. They don't need shadowy secret driving data to raise rates. All they need to see is an expensive "luxury" item, and an owner who might eat the cost. Did you demand your old rate back? Did you threaten to leave after X years of loyalty? Or did you accept what they said, come to a conclusion that it must be Ford's fault, and continue paying them?
Let me guess, you're from Missouri? Why don't you provide a proof/documentations that insurance companies doesn't have access to monitor our driving data? At least I have very strong evidence that this is happening.

Not going to argue
I reread my reply to you and see that I should have worded it differently as I don't mean for it to sound like an attack, nor do I mean it to sound uppity. What I should have stated is that there are also ways to decrease data collection in other areas as well. I agree with you that it is a battle. I might even agree with you that that battle is lost. Where I disagree is on what can be done about it. For instance, how very easy it is to pull this fuse and stop this particular data collection scheme. One down.

Apparently everyone here agrees that there are massive, egregious privacy concerns when it comes to corporate data collection, and here we are with an easy way to stop one. It is not futile. The reality is that many little chips away here and there help. Some require tech savvy, some require constant vigilance. Everyone has their own tolerance level, know how, etc., and the average person doesn't have much they can do. Which is actually one of the reasons why I posted about pulling the fuse. That's something anyone can do in a few minutes with little to no drawback to the user. I can't think of any other area where the same can be said.

Let me guess, your family tree only has 3 grandparents? See, I can make personal attacks that have no bearing on the discussion too. Only mine are more clever, and less likely to insult an entire state. As for the actual topic, neither of us has concrete evidence either way. I asked, and got the defensive response I should have expected. Good day sir!
Dude, chill. I didn't attack you. "You're from Missouri" is well known expression for people who don't believe others.
As for the topic, you don't have any reason to argue with everybody on this thread.

Haha! I also interpreted as Mik did, and I thought you were full of it, but: https://idioms.thefreedictionary.com/from+Missouri

from Missouri
Requires proof; needs to be shown. Often used in longer phrases, such as "Show me, I'm from Missouri," or "I'm from Missouri and you'll have to show me." The phrase derives from Missouri's nickname, "The Show Me State." Primarily heard in US.

In this light, your back and forth up above is hilarious.

I think the fuse is located in the Body Control Module (BCM).
F8 - 5 amp - Telematics Control Unit (TCU) Module

Passenger Compartment Fuse Panel

The fuse panel is in the right-hand side of the passenger footwell behind a trim panel and plastic key code card.

To remove the trim panel, lift it from the rear retaining hooks, while pulling it toward you and swinging it away from the side. To reinstall it, line up the tabs with the grooves on the panel, drop the panel back into place, and then push it shut.

To reach the fuse panel, first remove the key code card.

After replacing a fuse, return the key code card to the original position. To reinstall the trim panel, lineup the tabs with the grooves on the panel, drop the panel back into place, and then push it shut to reinstall the trim panel.

So is this F8 5amp fuse the one we should remove?

This is for the 2020 Mustangs, if you have an earlier year, check the owners manual. The 2019 Mustang owners manual says fuse #10. Check the manual.

What's this job 1 job 2 stuff? I'll triangulate the RF to the antenna location on my car and share what I find.

Job 1 is the small low profile roof antenna for GPS/SAT radio.

Job 2 is the refresh after the hiatus in the GT500 build cycle. That change brought about a few design tweaks. One of which was the shark antenna on the roof that combined the original GPS/SAT radio, but added a primary TCU antenna.

Do you have a low profile roof antenna or a shark antenna?

It's a little roundish flat thing somewhat smaller than a hockey puck. Guessing that's 'low profile'.
You have a job 1 antenna. Because of that, your RF signature will be around the rear bumpers (where the antennas are).

My car had a job 2 system where the primary TCU antenna was integrated into the roof antenna and it became the shark antenna.

I took my shark antenna off for xpel for the reason that it looks like crap on a GT500. I came across the phenomenon that by doing so, it killed the TCU and disabled the ford pass.

I do not know if the secondary cellular antennas were discontinued in the bumper/quarter panel areas as part of the job 2 transition. The workshop manual and guidance seems to be focused towards the job 1 configuration.

Since my removal of the shark antenna and subsequent lack of communication with ford pass, I am inclined to think that the difference between job 1 and job 2 in the GT500 is the re-areangement of the antenna array. Why put cellular antennas all over the body when a simple roof antenna would get the job done?

Did you see the photos of the shark antenna I took apart? Thats a cellular/sat antenna in one.

That's another neat way to go about this, swapping antennas.

BTW, how many wires go to each antenna? From the board that is... can you tell? One? Two?

One on the job 1 antenna.... two on the job 2 antenna. I suspect the job 2 antenna has two coax cables for sat and cellular. Blue is GPS=sat and black is the cellular.
