Swapping anything even engine blocks just takes bolts.
Exactly so it’s all bolt ons.
Porting heads, that’s not a bolt on.
That’s porting.
Boring a cylinder, that’s boring.
Installing cams, intake, headers etc. all bolt ons.

In my time and mind their all bolt ons unless you’re porting, boring, stroking the crank etc.
putting a blower or turbos, nitrous etc. all bolt ons.
Also called power adders.

Stock is stock. Stock means 100% oem.
You put a set of headers on, it’s not stock. It has aftermarket headers.
You put a cam or cams in, it’s not stock.
You put a aftermarket cai on. It’s not stock.

Stock to me is STOCK.

If I were to bore and stroke my engine you wouldn’t know by looking at it in the car. So who says it’s stock?

See my crank.
Was it stock? Lol.

Whoa...what happened to cause that crank to snap in half? Is that a 5.2 FPC crank?

This is the Sonny Bryant crank from my SVO block, 401 Windsor. 9200 RPM
The block cracked from the distributor hole to the cam hole to crank mains. From the timing cover to the last main cap.
The shatter proof bellhousing kept it from splitting in half.
Had this in my 92 LX back in 1995. Now it’s a paper weight.
