Ugh, here we go with the Tesla mystique again. Only under very certain circumstances. A few higher performance Tesla models can beat a Mustang GT to 60 mph and in the 1/4 mile, twice in a row. Only if the conditions for the batteries are correct (warm enough but not too warm, full charge, etc.), and you set everything up properly and are ready to race. After the 2nd run, they couldn't beat an Ecoboost, much less a GT.The manual GT is fucken fantastic. Then again - why am I on this site with so many whiners.
Not to mention an ugly ass Tesla will beat all these awesome Mustangs - even the GT350.
My point being that so many are fixated on 0 60 times and pass up getting an awesome stick just to be a few ms faster. Idiots.Ugh, here we go with the Tesla mystique again. Study this review of the "vaunted" Model S performance vs the Porsche:
https://www.caranddriver.com/review...an-turbo-s-vs-2020-tesla-model-s-performance/
Notice how on the 3rd run, without a full charge, the Model S Performance runs high 13s, by the 5th run, it's a 15 second car.
Heck, even the P85D can only manage 115 mph in the 1/4 mile when fully charged, so in a roll race, an A10 GT would pull away in the long run.
it's not the mechanical stuff that get torn up, it's the paint and underside of the car from flying rocks.Nope. Wouldn’t drifting on pavement do more damage? Tires gone, more stress on driveline, trans, engine and body.
