You won't be disappointed. Their stuff works. Significantly lower engine water and oil temps, better front grip, lower lap times, without a doubt the best bang for the buck I've seen for a road course Mustang.

Finished install and Al at Race Louvers was great to work with. Excellent materials, hardware, instructions and science in this product. Thanks again and let’s hope the tracks open soon.

Looks great! @AZHowln50 Crossing my fingers that ProAuto's Inde track day doesn't get cancelled at the end of May.

Thanks. Yes they are the RX.
Did you install them yourself or have a shop do it? I don't know if I trust myself cutting into my hood, haha!

My wife and kids thought I was crazy but I did it myself. I took my time over 3 days. 1st day prep, 2nd day cut and file, 3rd day final fit and trimming, drill holes and mount. Al at Race Louvers walked me through it and was a great help. Here are some in progress pics. I went crazy with the tape. Lol

Also I used an angle grinder and did not even use up one cutting disk. The hood is extremely light and I guess aluminum. It cut like butter. Just have to take your time.

Uh oh, you're making me want to do this myself!
1. Are the provided instructions and additional help from Al pretty clear and understandable?
2. When reinstalling the hood, was it easy to get it aligned with the fenders and bumper?

Sorry, just trying to be thorough.

Yes the instructions and access to Al was what I used and I have never done any body work before. Also I painted the cuts to protect from rust and put high temp electric tape between Louvers and hood like a little cushion. I was able to align the hood by lining up the brackets with the paint lines on the hood and it worked perfect.

2. When reinstalling the hood, ..

I'm one of those who does not read instructions. The Race louvers are very high quality and the vendor is very responsive to questions and is helpful. My race louvers needed to be SCCA T2 legal so I have a legal size limit. RL has a specific louver for that. Winner! I just taped the outline on the car and cut the outline with a razor blade right on the paint. That left a line for me to cut using my dremel and metal cutting disk. It was super easy. I did not take the hood off. They are big and bulky and you really need 2 people. I have no friends so I put a blanket over the engine bay to catch the aluminum filings and just cut and drilled as needed. Perfect fit because of the prefect RL template. The rivets are very nice high quality. This is a really good product!

Is that where they told you to put it? Oh right, you don't read instructions.
My RL unit is 2" behind the back of the radiator, per their very explicit instructions. The high pressure area is right behind the rad, you want it up there to get that air out as soon as it exits the rad. You're not going to get maximum value out of it mounted that far back.

This is where the supplemental instructions said to install?? This was in with the original instructions and I confirmed with Al before installed.

Optical illusion. The T2 legal louver is smaller than normal. There is 200 sq inch limit in T2.
