That is such a beautiful part of the country! Saw much of it on a trip I took from LA to Hood River for the Oregon Trail Rally about 8 years ago.
Indeed it is! That being said, we lived in Marietta for six years and there's some great driving to be done in the outskirts of Hotlanta. Elphaba2017 (my wife) and I miss the South terribly and not just for the higher speed limits. :)

How about that... yeah we're in Kennesaw. Love the South (been here 5 years), and enjoy going to the Blue Ridge etc.

Oh yeah, awesome. We could practically walk to Kennesaw Battlefield Park from our house. We hiked there with the dogs near weekly. We're both from the Southeast and man do we miss it. Summer thunderstorms, beaches you can swim in, heat and humidity....bugs....not so much! :)

Here in North Jersey, I've been letting her run on some of the highways I know to be less traveled. Word here is, police are not looking to get involved with face to face encounters unless it's urgent. At night I can hear the racers winding out on Rt 280 thru Essex county. About 2 miles away.

Don't have a stang anymore hope it's ok for sharing none stangs :D

Mounted the summer wheels on my DD, I did coat the wheels with 2 coats of ceramic coating and gave the car a nice wash during the weekend. Took it for a short short photo shoot

The other car sitting in the garage I have million things to mount :D

Everything in the boxes(apart from big box to the right, that's for the beemer ...) and the exhaust and coilovers are going on the Mazda.

I also have Cup 2 tires incoming on Friday, hopefully

I look at it this way. Cabin fever is real. I've seen it hit perfect families. Being cooped up with the same people for long periods of time can be very nerve racking and can bring out the worst in people. I know the police would much rather deal with me out on the street de stressing myself or balled up on an accident, than they would trying to deal with me in my house in a domestic situation. If I go for a joy ride, it will be on roads in rural areas. If I need gas, I'll pay at the pump. If I need to go in the station, it will be to use the restroom and wash up. Are there risk concerning the virus; yes, but no more than going to the drive thru at Taco Hell.
It's all about common sense. Going for a drive in the country to relieve stress is a good idea. Driving around town and doing burnouts to show off in front of people is a bad idea.Fighting with the police in your living room because the wife wants the TV control, can be life changing. Taking a ticket for speeding from a cop is just inconvenient.
Hope I can get a drive in this weekend.

You are so right.. My daughter is a deputy sheriff and says domestic violence is way up since this virus started and all the rules that came with it.. I will say I had a post earlier that I deleted since a person was such an expert on Montana rules but lived in Vegas.. I will say we have live stock and chickens and since the area has no eggs I will stick around and protect what we have rather then getting my car fix.. Especially since the latest craze on social media is to tell city folks if you can't get what you need in the city go to rural areas and take what you want..I will say if our daughter watches our place and we go for a drive it will not be long enough to need a bathroom and we carry gloves for use at the gas stations..

I live on the outskirts of Chicago here and have been dealing with Cancer for 4 years. My immune system is really low and if I get this shit i`m done but with that being said I just did all the mods my car needed to support 727 hp and I will be dammed if don`t get the chance to drive this thing just a little so I can die with a smile on my face. I have forest preserves all around me, all empty and I consider myself a courteous and careful driver. I do see a lot of cops around but some short bursts of speed with no one around will cure my soul and my need for speed and that`s why I bought this car in the first place! I do see some folks out there going nuts, running lights, fly by`s, so watch out for these crazy`s.
Stay safe my Mustang friends and do everything you can to avoid this virus. Mark

You gotta go out occasionally for "Supplies". When doing so yesterday I practiced rapid social distancing with a 392 Chally on my way to the store.

It was very effective and it turns out we were going to the same store lol.

Please stay safe Mark!

I'm in the Chicago burbs too and the weather still crummy. Next week we are going to hover around the 49-55 degrees. I'm hoping that the weather gets a lot better by mid April so I can pull mine out of hibernation and drive it around a bit by then. Its been sitting under the cover since October.

My job has me working from home and going to customer sites so its about a 50/50 split right now. Been watching a lot of youtube videos to pass the time.

are we allowed to drive around if there is a shelter in place order?

i was thinking of excuses and the best one i came up with was "im driving around looking for toilet paper."
