Hmm..... I wonder if this will mean less units and greater demand after it's all said and done.

Remember, it's just a car.
I would think so, congrats your car could end up being more rare than you originally planned! I know your not my biggest fan Tom and I'm ok with that. In reality I'm not POOR or a TROLL but I understand why some would think otherwise. I don't bleed blue as you or others do on this forum but we actually have more in common than you think. Though I don't bleed blue I am still a enthusiast! I was head over heals for the 2015 GT but looking back I should of waited for a GT 350. On the flip side my GT has been pretty solid with only minor issues after 30k miles and all issues were covered under warranty. It really has been am awesome car! Actually, it's been my favorite car I have ever owned! I am willing to wait on a GT500 but not willing to pay dealer markup even though I believe it is warranted! I acknowledge and even apologize that I was critical of the GT 500 but only because I'm driven by perfomance! So take it for what its worth but I'm moving on and wish the best to everyone here! I'm sure it is only a matter of time until I come back to mustang6g, 7g or hopefully 8g! Although I may of fell short at times, I tried not to make things personal. If I offended any of you I apologize and like Tom said "It's just a car"! Good luck and God bless America!

Pretty well said. Thank you and best of luck with purchasing a GT500!

I couldn't bear to read all of that. Yes it's just a car. I hope I'm alive with money in my pocket to collect on it. I think we all need to be a community now and offer mutual support. These will be trying times for many. Yes it is just a car. However it is the car that brought us all here to this forum and made us a community. My comments earlier were out of distain for the current economic and sociological issues that confront us. I'm upset.... angry for what is about to happen to my friends.

So, I apologize for my earlier comments. Whether they were deserved or not they were a product of the time we live in. I bear full responsibility.

Sorry for the long post but I just wanted to try and clear the air! We are in deed in some trying times and I regret taking light of the situation because it will effect many on this forum. I'm creating a post in the general forum to help those who may be in need!

Yep. Your car may end up being a 2021. Hopefully not, but who knows how long this will last.
Haven't read whole post but if my car ends up being delayed to a 2021 I may just have to change colors.

That's my take on what'll happen.
I have been thinking this since the beginning. The delays, after delays, the issues, etc. Now, enter COVID-19, I really don't see them making all 5,000 2020 cars. I hope so, I am just skeptical.

No, that wont happen. I just hope I'm here to receive it.
Tom, just be safe and you should be fine. I understand all your feelings behind what's going on here, on many topics. Myself, my wife, you, and many others here are put in situations that have us "on the front line", so to speak. If we all think safety, and use proper precautions, we should be here to enjoy the rest of out lives, AND our cars.

Referring to your other posts, yes it's just a car, but as you mentioned, it's cars like the GT500 that bring people all around the states, even the globe, together.

@Tomster , like Jaime stated, its the car that has brought us all together. If it was not for both of us owning the GT350 and meeting at the track, I would not even know you and we live approx 50 miles away from one another. With that being said, when you went to New Zealand, you would not have met @shelbykr as I told you to reach out to him. And we know you had a good time with him.

I know you job puts you in a different position than most of us. Just be safe, follow the recommendations and hope to see you soon. If you and/or wife need anything, you know I am a phone call or text away.

I bought my '09 GT500 in November of '08. I was finally in a position to negotiate outside of the ADM stranglehold that had been in place. Market was in the shitter and it all played out well. Turned out the be the lowest production year '07-'14 too.
Yep, I got a 2008 in 2009 with 1500 miles for Killer price

There’s cars on the ground and I still think dealers at some point will play ball, of course cars aren’t really that important at this time In our lifetime.

Everyone take car of yourself and your families

Well said.
Mustangs bring a global community together.

Everyone be aware of your surroundings, be safe and look after one another and we will all pull through.
This CV is going to reset the goalposts around the world, where we have a simpler world and family matters most as opposed to material things.

Since I'm the OP, I thought I'd report back to this thread on what I decided to do. Obviously with plant shutdowns it's only going to push back deliveries and may even help the dealers retain their ability to mark up the msrp on the GT 500. I would of been willing to buy the GT 500 if I could of got a msrp deal allocation or just go to the dealer and pay msrp for one sitting on the show room floor optioned out exactly the way I want it but obviously that's not going to happen any time soon. Hopefully FORD realizes there is some opportunities that they could take advantage of and structure their business in a way that their customers can actually buy their vehicles. Any way it came down to a new GT 350/R or a new C7 GS/Zo6 because they all offer a manual and until the GT 500, I never considered an auto . All of these cars are great and have been on my radar for years. But at the end of the day I went with the C7 because even though I'd prefer a back seat I was really drawn to a completely different platform. It was a tough choice to decide on which C7 to go with but I ended up with a GS that was optioned out perfectly and the dealer was willing to make a deal! As I mentioned before congratulations to all of you who did and will be taking delivery! I'm sure at some point I will be back in a mustang wether it's a GT 500 or whatever that may be coming out with the next generation. I'll still be floating around here until I get some wheels sold and stock parts given away. Also I will chime in on threads that are relivant with my experience. Just to add I'm not sure why corvettes are known for old guys because this somewhat young guy definitely gives the mustang the win for getting in and out of! Best wishes to all!

Couldn't be happier for you, add a Maggie or Edelbrock on one of those GS and they fly :sunglasses:
