There is no correlation between the registry and NAZI ascendance to power. The NAZIs were voted into power through a democratic process, manipulation notwithstanding. Once in power, they loosened gun restrictions as part of their surreptitious approach to militarization and to prevent resistance.

In other words, It's good to arm everyone when everyone agrees with each other.

If we are going to get all technical, what election was he asking for help in? Biden is not running for President yet and the Dems have not brought up that law in their charges although one pundit has added on attempted murder. Are they missing something so obvious or is it a no brainer.

Not sure ... but the tweet from the FEC office reads to me that after Trump publicly made comments about the Ukraine and China should investigate Biden that warning came out. The FEC wouldn't make that comment if they didn't see some wrong doing.

I didn't.
I know a good bit about that era's history. I'm saying the registry was there for when the ruling NAZIs banned certain groups from owning firearms and were free to confiscate said firearms in the interest of "public safety".

Point is that NAZIs banned Jews from owning guns but were not able to enforce it, because the registry was not accurate. Additionally, the NAZIs didn't need to eliminate Jewish guns, because their focus was on eliminating Jewish gun owners, and their families... Any notion of an armed Jewish resistance would be absurd.

So, bottom line, the Wiemar registration policy was inconsequential.
