Lots of hypocrisy, look if we would have said anything like Schiff read aloud in his secret bunker, it would be different. He didn't, there is no evidence that he threatened to withhold the aid unless Ukraine helped him. Even out of all these guys, no one can say that there was proof of a quid pro quo, all we see is Trump asking about election meddling and asking about the Bidens' level of corruption. That was after Biden bragged about the very thing on TV that Trump is being accused of. (double standard alert here). Maybe he has done something that deserved impeachment but this ain't it. This is total shit. This is nothing more than 1 more attempt by the dems to screw with him. Look, he is not popular with the repubs, if they really had something real, they would use it to get rid of him too. They bailed on Nixon like rats when it became apparent he did something wrong, they will do it to Trump.
Like I've posted links to sources before, there really doesn't need to be a true "quid pro quo" for this investigation to take place. Just the simple act of someone in political office to request a foreign government to "dig up dirt" that would be perceived as a personal gain for the person asking for that "favor" is a crime per the FEC.

What amazes me is that the warning from the FEC on June 13, 2019 specifically announced that simply asking for any information from a foreign country on a political rival is against the law, yet Trump continued down that path. Who's stupid enough to step on a land mine right after they are shown exactly where the land mine is. Or did Trump believe he'd send Rudy into the land mine field because he was expendable?

Weintraub was prompted to post that reminder in June after Trump told ABC News that he would consider accepting information on a political rival from a foreign national and dismissed the idea that such an act would constitute foreign interference in a U.S. election. The Mueller report, released earlier in the year, outlined Russian interference in the 2016 election along with 10 instances in which Trump may have sought to obstruct the special counsel’s investigation.

Now, the president has apparently become bolder than ever.

Despite White House officials’ alleged efforts to cover up a July conversation between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky ― in which the U.S. leader asked his Ukrainian counterpart to dig up dirt on Biden ― Trump solicited help from another foreign country before news cameras on Thursday.

How did the NAZIs use the registry to gain and maintain power?
So the Weimar Republic created a gun registry. Who took over the government? You think all that paperwork just magically disappeared? Come on.

The entire Russian thing is funny coming from the Democrats though....you HAVE to admit that. Remember the '12 debate with Obama and Romney?

I think the quote from Obama was "The Cold War is Over."

And for the record, your statement about "most" people is wrong. There are plenty of people who volunteered / volunteer to wear a uniform for their country - REGARDLESS of whether they didn't agree with the sitting CIC or not. In fact, we currently have more living combat veterans (as in actual infantry who were involved in direct actions) in this country since WW2. There are plenty of people who care about more than the stock market / economy - but keep in mind MOST people have to wake up every morning and go to work to support themselves / their family. Many don't have the time or the stomach to wade into the cesspool that has become politics / news / current events in this country. Not to mention a lot of people who are afraid to voice their true opinion on certain social issues because they've seen so many attacked by the other side.
99% of Americans are not in uniform. Most never serve. More avoid it like the plague.

Exactly ... I'm a super strong proponent of the 2nd amendment. What scares me the most about the Dems is their insane drive to disarm America. Other things I don't like either. It's pretty hard for any Rep or Dem to make me totally happy. That's why I don't like politics much.
Wow, we agree 100% on this one.

There is no correlation between the registry and NAZI ascendance to power. The NAZIs were voted into power through a democratic process, manipulation notwithstanding. Once in power, they loosened gun restrictions as part of their surreptitious approach to militarization and to prevent resistance. I am not for taking away guns (from most people), but I am for historical accuracy.

There hasn't been a nuclear holocaust since 1945. So he should get credit that there hasn't been one since he came into office either? There hasn't been a celery crop failure under his rule either thank God he's prevented that too! What cheap labour pool are we benefiting from? What is it you guys still manufacture that we are buying so "cheap"? Oh is it the coal??? Cuz I know that's coming back in a big way right?
Imports of good beer for one.

If we are going to get all technical, what election was he asking for help in? Biden is not running for President yet and the Dems have not brought up that law in their charges although one pundit has added on attempted murder. Are they missing something so obvious or is it a no brainer.

Where did I state that the firearms registry or gun control helped the NAZI take control of the German government?

I didn't.

I know a good bit about that era's history. I'm saying the registry was there for when the ruling NAZIs banned certain groups from owning firearms and were free to confiscate said firearms in the interest of "public safety".

I'll give you that. How about "Most people who believe that just one guy in high office if responsible for the booming economy and stock market, and the only thing they really care about is if that's happening, and continues to happen".
