I have noticed on the relatively short (20 minutes) highway portion of my commute that the top ripples (gently flaps?) quite a bit, presumably because the open area collects the breeze. I still can't be bothered putting them on for that but for long drives I do, as that may do damage to the top in the long run. With regard to using them, I use mine all the time as it gives the car a finished appearance, as well as keeping dirt and other foreign objects out.
I looked long and hard to find a reasonable set, put them on once and forgot I had them. Until I saw this thread.I did get caught, on the highway none the less. That's why I only put them on at car shows, and take them off before I drive home.
Very cool! It's especially eye catching with a bright exterior color like red.I color matched them and use on special occasions like Race Day.
That looks really good! I agree with MaskedRacerX, that works very well on the bright colors. My GT convertible is white so leaving them black to blend in with the top still works for me.I color matched them and use on special occasions like Race Day.
That's the real deal right there, best looking convertible seen to date. I would think if raining, unless stopped you'd never get wet?I have replaced them with a speedster cover...,
