As they seem to only damage the roof don’t bother fitting them!

With regard to using them, I use mine all the time as it gives the car a finished appearance, as well as keeping dirt and other foreign objects out.
I have noticed on the relatively short (20 minutes) highway portion of my commute that the top ripples (gently flaps?) quite a bit, presumably because the open area collects the breeze. I still can't be bothered putting them on for that but for long drives I do, as that may do damage to the top in the long run.

I did get caught, on the highway none the less. That's why I only put them on at car shows, and take them off before I drive home.
I looked long and hard to find a reasonable set, put them on once and forgot I had them. Until I saw this thread.

I color matched them and use on special occasions like Race Day. :)

That looks really good! I agree with MaskedRacerX, that works very well on the bright colors. My GT convertible is white so leaving them black to blend in with the top still works for me.

Agree. I'm thinking about some sore of red cover for the folded top. It's on my long list of project ideas.

And, thanks. :)

I've used mine for a few hours about once a week over the last four months or so, usually for a car meet I attend on Sunday mornings. I don't see any wear on the top, so I'd say that so far the redesign of the covers seems to work.

The covers only cause a problem if you drive around with them on, The vibration while the car is moving is the main culprit. If you only put them on at cars and coffee events while parked they are harmless.

I used mine twice the first summer I had mine (2016). They have been collecting dust on a shelf in my garage ever since. These are nice for a car show, but I don’t show!!

That's the real deal right there, best looking convertible seen to date. I would think if raining, unless stopped you'd never get wet?

That car look hot as hell
