Owned a 17 350. Then lost it in the divorce. Now in a PPL2. The 350 felt a tad tighter. Maybe it was the recaros that felt tighter. The handling is nearly the same. There seems to be more power lower in the rpm in the 5.0 but when the voodoo is up it’ll smoke the coyote. There is def something to be said about a DOHC 5.0 v8. And yes, the voodoo is fucking special, I don’t care what set of pipes you put on the coyote. But when I did have an opportunity to buy a 350 I decided to get the PPL2 because of the following:
-maintenance: the 350 burns a quart of oil every 500-1000 miles. At least mine did. Then came the simply things. An oil change- fucking 10 quarts?!?!?! No thanks. I know it takes the same amount but I’m finding I burn way less in my coyote. Yes you have to pay to play but the 5.0 is easier to maintain. I also don’t mind parking it next to other people. I was super paranoid about where I parked the 350. Also better mpg
-insurance: way more for Me on the 350
-interior: way better in the pp2 with the 401a and the leather recaros.
I do prefer the sound, the transmission and the looks of the 350. And no color beats avalanche gray. Anyways, those be my 2 cents.
