So, I haven't seen much on possible driving differences for 2019. Where are the RPMs at with the cross vs. flat? Will the arc of power vary? Which is more fun to drive? Could we see more power in 2021MY?
I think indicated redline is 7500 on the gt500 vs our 8250

I am also sure they Gen 2 block has 4 knock sensors vs the 2 in the Gen 1 blocks .

I only saw 2 knock sensors on top when i pulled the manifold off my MY 2019. Maybe there are 2 more somewhere else. not sure..

I wonder if the stronger oil pump gears are enough for the Whipple now. They are still powdered metal instead of billet or forged. Any thoughts on if this upgrade is still required on the MY2019+ motors?

"Along those lines, this engine gets a forged steel crank sprocket and a more robust oil pump featuring larger gerotor internals made of harder, stronger powdered metal than previous models. "

I too wonder about this so called 'upgrade' to stronger but still powdered metal OPG.
Heck, what amazes me is FP has for quite a while offered Billet Steel gears and also assembled Billet gear pump. WHY w/all the documented OPG failures didn't '19 models (OR even '18's such as mine!) get them??

Honestly it should be easy to make the OPGs stronger by increasing a couple dimensions...

My issue with powdered metal is quality control. If they had some process to magnaflux the gears after forging to check for porosity or in the case of oil pump gears, possibly anneal them to reduce internal stress build up i might feel more comfortable.

Honestly i'm unsure of their process, and i would hope that they would have some quality control in the process.

I feel like with how some sets seem to be egg shell brittle and others seem indestructible that either porosity or excessive internal stress causing the part to be brittle would be at fault for the majority of the failures.

I can see the 4 bosses but looks like only 2 sensors are installed .

I misspoke saying the new block has 4 sensors. I meant bosses for 4 sensors (actually now looks like 6 ??)
I assume the GT 500 uses 4/6 sensors .
