Mustang_Lou, I know you agree with me on this one and I with you.If you're racing stay with the GT mani.
This is my whole point in recommending the lowly, truck manifold. Simply put, 99% of peeps on this board are not and will not be "racing" their STREET cars anytime soon.
Yet, the overwhelming majority of peeps on this board will say something to the effect of: "you're an idiot for using the truck manifold. Go with the CJ, GT350, Boss 302, or '18/'19 GT manifolds because our cars make the most power at 7,800 rpm..."
The fact that you, me, and the rest of us rarely..., and I mean rarely take our cars to 7,800 rpm because they are STREET cars is lost on the "wow factor" of seeing a sexy manifold under the hood, and the so-called bragging rights of a number printed on a dyno sheet.
Basically, the reason everyone likes to slam the lowly truck manifold is because it's not sexy, and doesn't produce bragging rights HP numbers (at unrealistic rpm) for a STREET car.
I don't need a dyno sheet to make me happy. I don't care what my engine bay looks like when the hood is open.
I want the most hp and TORQUE across the widest power-band where I use my car the most. Not at some stratospheric rpm where I rarely drive.
F-150 intake manifold, baby. F-150
