Sorry man, that's just absurd, progress often demands we adjust the language we use.[...] some new-speak notion that today's technologies must only be described with new terms, even when that old term is perfectly applicable at the most basic level.
Well then you need to do more research about this new 7 speed transmission, Ford has designed this GT 500 to be a road race, corner carver type of car, because with this new transmission, it will be very difficult to launch it from a dead stop, there is a delay, unless you use launch control, and how many times applying launch control before some thing breaks. I'm sorry, Ford has missed the boat with this car, I'll pass, and buy a GT with a 10 spd auto and some boost, bye bye GT 500!If the 10r80 were going to shift faster and outperform the 7 speed why on earth didnt they just use the 10 speed in the new gt500? Because unlike everyone in this forum ford engineers have tested this specific transmission and know the performance is better on the 7speed. Common sense man!
The gt500 is built with tolerances as Ford understands the car WILL be modded.Well then you need to do more research about this new 7 speed transmission, Ford has designed this GT 500 to be a road race, corner carver type of car, because with this new transmission, it will be very difficult to launch it from a dead stop, there is a delay, unless you use launch control, and how many times applying launch control before some thing breaks. i guess thats a bit subjective, depends on the trans and # of gears. i went by commonly used or swapped too. ill test it again with 3.55 / 3.733.90 is common? I thought 3.55s & 3.73s we're "common"?
i thought so. if someone has a performance calculator, they can start pluggin in #sWell that’s interesting........
Not sure but the oldest thread of us typing about it was made in 2015. By looking at the headlights I wouldn't be surprised if it was even earlier than that. When did they start developing it?
We’ve already seen the car will have 3.73i guess thats a bit subjective, depends on the trans and # of gears. i went by commonly used or swapped too. ill test it again with 3.55 / 3.73

EDIT:
3.55 set A= 54mph 1st gear / 161 4th gear
Set B= 55mph 1st / 158mph 4th
3.73 Set A= 51 1st gear ( possible due to delay, not likely) / 154mph 4th gear
Set B= 53mph 1st / 151mph 4th
My money is on Set A with 3.90 or set B with 4.10, but leaning toward Set A/3.90 for mpg stats
source pleaseWe’ve already seen the car will have 3.73
Use that ratio only.
Do a quick search. You’ll find itsource please
