People complain about motor trends 11.5 second run. Versus the 10.6 runs at the track. This is just a real world example of motor trends test numbers.
I would wager that this is a worst case scenario. Dusty and bumpy are not helping any of these cars and that's obvious from the GT times that were slower than normal.

I say once again.

The owner of the blue GT500 was clueless on how to get the best time.

Clueless.

I know it was drag times idea, but launching at 3200 rpm on the street without any prep or burn out????????

Seriously it was a complete fail and a total embarrassment.

That is the first time I’ve liked Velocity blue. It looked pretty good with the black roof. Maybe I’ve just seen bad pics previously.

4.6 0-60???? Are you serious???

Any decent driver could get a 3.9 easy on the street.

You can do a 3.9 to 4.1 with traction control on and just mash the pedal.

I can personally assure you that car runs well and is capable of much better than a 4.9 on a good road. He was not at all happy with the condition of the road they were attempting this on, but it is what it is.

I saw some of those pictures the other day.
Is the GT500 yours or are you a friend of his?

Side by side, I think I like Orange Fury better than Twister orange, both are sweet though.

I've known the owner for a few years and we spent time while he was here in Atlanta on his way down in the cars together. That thing is a monster and this video is a poor demonstration of what it's capable of. He's recorded better 0-60 times better than that day previously. All this video proved is that on a shitty surface the mid-engine rwd car doesn't suffer as much as the front engine rwd car.
