I like to disassemble things.
Bought it new, drove it 14 miles to my shop at home and gutted the suspension, changed bumpers, hood, etc. All said and done it took another 8k or so to make it what I wanted.

Another Pony Car Coming
Back in the day when the GLH came out I test drove the GLH against a buddies Camaro Z28 and beat him, sadly he had the lowly L69 H.O. V8 not the tuned port injected one so it was a whupin. I didn't buy the GLH, just wanted to thrash one for some fun, I had a 1985 5.0 LX Coupe at the time and the GLH gave that a run for the money for the first 1/8th mile, after that it was see ya!
Yes, those FWD GLH cars had some torque steer but the power to weight ratio was pretty good for the day.

I remember my best friend and myself both having a few beers one night after which time we decided to go down to Patrick Dodge in Richmond, B.C. the next morning and ordered 2 Dodge Omni GLH's with his in Black and mine in Red.

My wife went crazy with this car as she used it for a daily driver to and from work and every week she had a new story of how she would take down a Camaro or Firebird and some unsuspecting Corvettes as well.

She still talks about the GLH to this day and now she will probably be doing the same with our new Type R which is also Red.

Somethings just never change!!

@Epiphany, I seem to recall your Jeep from the Wrangler Forum. :like:

All-year DD is my Wrangler, more critical in MN winter than as pictured posing in my summer yard.

Back in 1986 my Mom borrowed my 5.0 LX Coupe to make a store run, she came back with a huge grin after she blew the doors off of a new Transam, I was like  go Mom!! My best friend bought a new GLH-S and had a blast beating a lot of cars, guys with 60's muscle cars that lost to it were not very happy, it was a great sleeper until the GN-X came out.

Nice rig. Yup, that was me. Haven't needed to go back to that forum as I finished this one and just drive it as intended. I might consider doing the same thing to the new Jeep pickup if it actually ever happens.

A beater that was as much the opposite of the Mustang Bullitt that I could get.... a 2001 Ford Escape. A true one-paycheck-car. ;)

My Raptor or my Focus RS which I just had the snow tires swapped onto. I have not driven it in the snow but some fellow RS owners say it is a blast with snow tires and snow that is not too high. The raptor is a beast in the snow.

EvilleGT, where is that located, near the Joint Base? Looks like a F-22 coming in. I listen to them thunder north from the base. I am in Anchorage about every other week headed there the week after Thanksgiving. A winter ride there is a must.

Yep, it's one of the side roads on base. Those birds make it hard to get work done with the windows open during the summer. My old office was right next to the runway.

I just put these on my Focus RS. I’m hoping they do well. Salt Lake City gets snow every now and then...
Picked up a 2018 Fiesta ST a few weeks ago (six speed, black wheels, sunroof, Magnetic), and in its own way it's almost as fun to drive as my black Shelby GT350. Completely different. But jeez it handles.
Glad to see all the Fiesta ST love! My 2014 Fiesta ST is super fun as well. In summer, it's on Pilot Sport AS3+ -- i have even had those tires on track with it and they did remarkably well. Do not feel like an all-season on that little car.

In winter, it gets super-light 15" wheels with Michelin X-ice tires.

I also just slapped a set of Blizzaks on my E39 M5 (latest stupid purchase, grabbed it back in August). Between those two cars, we are covered for winter work.

Modded BMW 135 on Blizzaks.
Yes, the 135 is a RWD torque monster, but on dedicated snow tires, it is quite good in the snow.
