There was a Shelby GT350 in 1969-1970. Also, there was a shelby GT350 in 2011 by Shelby America. But they are not nearly as special as the 2015-2016 GT350.

There was also a GT350 in 1984, but we wont talk about that:frusty:

And there was one next to me last Saturday.... he bought it new for 88k back then. Makes the new GT350, even the R, feel like a bargain if you view it at that perspective. ;)

I saw a cherry S550 "Shelby GT" vert a few weeks ago. I never looked into them but went to the shelby america website to see what the fuss was about. Basically a 24k cosmetic package...easily climbs to 40k over the base GT once you add some performance options. Yikes!
