Update... Cold start and my engine is as quiet as a mouse this morning. Amazing that 300ml of Ceratec, dispersed into 2.5 gallons of oil can work so well. Car is running, and sounding, great.
I do not think this is an excessive bearing clearance issue as there is no way you can add an additive to an engine and actually build up material, metal, bringing the clearance back into tolerance.
Thr Cera Tech could be cushioning excessive rod side clearance.

adding something thick to oil increase oil pressure, masking the noise. Ya fixed it !! LOL ..

I would agree with this if you were adding a significant amount of additive, say several quarts, but one bottle of Ceratec is only 300ml's or roughly 1/3 of a quart.. Adding this to the 2.5 gallons or 10qts is very insignificant. Also it is not super thick like STP oil treatment, maybe thick similar to 75w-90 gear oil.

To get 1.5hp out of every cubic inch like Ford does with the 2018 GT, you have to minimize losses everywhere. This third gen engine has a new crank and new bearings, upgraded from ones used in the 2017 GT. You can bet that one of the advantages of these new components was a reduction in big end friction.

Add some stack tolerance issues to an engine with a (new for 2018) composite sump, and it's no surprise if you hear a few ticks from the bottom end.
Does the "big end stack tolerance" that you think is causing this sound cause issues over the long term or do you think its just a normal characteristic? In other words, is it a real problem?

What is this ford recognized "big end stack tolerance"?

Did Ford publish anything?

I recently purchased a used 2015 Mustang GT. 56K Miles. Engine was still stock. Changed the oil this past weekend to AMSOIL 5w-20 Signature Series with AMSOIL Filter. I noticed a slight tick around 800-2200RPM. Get's faster as RPM's go up. Car runs great though. Currently running a LR Tune and PMAS Intake.

Changed back to motorcraft 5W-20 Synthetic Blend with Motorcraft filter. Tick is quieter than before, but I can hear it a little still.

I added CeraTec. Tick is gone. Ford Tech told me to switch to 5w30 next time and see if it helps. Since I'm modded, he didn't want to tear down the engine since Ford may deny the claim.
