I’m not sure if this has been covered yet. Is it possible to install Sync 3 on a 2018 base model?

No, I pasted the wrong number from my harness build sheet. It should be 2035334-1. Most people aren't using Travelink so my typo wasn't caught until now. PM your address, I'll mail you some.
Thanks for offering to help HextallS550, but I'm not using Travelink either, since I don't have nav. FYI, The directions never mentioned Travelink, only Sirius ("If you are adding Sirius you will also need Tyco 2035334-1"). So, to be clear, if I want just the basic Sirius function I don't need to connect those 2 wires between the ACM and the APIM?

Thanks. Given how easily these break, this should really go in the material list in the OP. They're cheap and if you have some on hand and don't need them, oh well.
Noted. I need to stick the S550 ABD database link in there too. Who's god at Excel spread sheets and has time to devote to helping??? I'm busy with harnesses and answering questions.

Correct, I have been trying to comb through the OP and fix any typo's or egregious errors, but this detail, no matter if it's small. escaped me.

Well I'm no God, but I can fumble my way around Excel with the best of them.(i'm actually pretty proficient)

Alright, I think have all the parts on order to get the base to Sync 3 Swap done.

$385 Sync 3 w/nav
$7.45 Mouser (connectors)
$397.50 Radio Bezel
$120.51 Tasca (USB cables, HUB and spare clips)
$136.18 Amazon (OBD Link, Wire, GPS Antenna and trim tools)
$30 Brackets

Total for my swap $1076.64

Would have been under or close to 1k minus the trim tools, spare clips and 22 gauge asst wire.

I went ahead and bit the bullet and order the extremely expensive radio bezel with the deleted heat/cooled seat buttons. The plus side is that it already had the red gt350 start button installed.. so that is a good thing and a $50 option.

Now I just might need some help using Forscan when it gets time to program the car. This will be my first time diving into the use of this program.

After this I plan to do the digital dash swap.

LOL, I want to have a spread sheet that allows you to input your options and then have the proper FORScan as built produced. This would only work if you sourced parts from a Mustang but it would be a helpful tool. I don't have the time to undertake that though.

How many options would be needed?

Sherrodmustang did you get your brackets already? If so how long did it take for you to get them?

You know, I was thinking of doing this same thing.

There's no difference between ABD for the EB and GT in the APIM, right? I think I have enough examples in the as built library to go off of.

Obviously, there is at least some difference between GT350 models and regular cars, since the startup splash is different.

Ok, I paid for mine like 2 weeks ago and havent seen or heard anything. I messaged him and posted in his thread but havent heard back. I'm still a few weeks from having everything together anyways so its not a huge deal.

From Head-scratching to Head-banging

I have everything installed and working - CarPlay, Sirius.

EXCEPT - I'm getting a "No Key Detected" message when I push the Start button. I cannot start the car nor activate the Accessories mode. Which means I can't use the OBDLink MX and Forscan to proceed.

I can lock/unlock, open the trunk, even remote start it; everything else works as it should. I tried the backup procedure (put the fob in the slot of the rear-ward cup in the console). Nothing.

I even swapped out the apim (I have two sets and plan to sell one, if anyone's interested) to see if it contributed somehow. It made no difference.

I searched high and low, particularly the Ford forums and found no solution offered beyond the backup slot procedure.

Has anyone else run into this on their install? https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/images/smilies/frusty.gif
