Ordering a 2018 with PP1 which comes with staggered wheels. I hate staggered because I can't rotate as freely as with 4 of the same size. I'm thinking about going with the 9" 255/40R19 that come on the front and slapping the same on the back. I was thinking about going with the fatter 9.5" 275/40R19 at all four corners but my dealer says they might rub. My dealer has offered to pull whichever ones I want off another car at no cost to me as part of my purchase with them. Anyone done this yet? Any tips?

I'm surprised they offered that. That can really mess with their inventory, since they would then have a car that "might rub" as they say. I wonder if they have someone else that wants the wide ones. :)

I thought about doing the same thing, actually, but haven't done any investigation yet.

With a 5 mm spacer on the front it will clear. Mag ride or no? I am not certain but the Magneride dampers might be a little larger diameter.

Anyone have any feedback on handling impact? Theoretically it would increase oversteer ... but by how much?

Reduces understeer, increases steering feedback & effort a little.

That's something I've considered quite often. I think Ford wants to set it's cars up for under-steer, which is safer for average drivers. Especially with a powerful RWD car.

A 4-square set-up with spacers sounds like a great idea. I wonder if a bump-steer kit would really make the 4-square (larger size) set-up handle even bettererer.

I don't know but can't you use the PP 2 front all round 19X10.5 with 305-30-19? They dont rub on a PP2.

since when would a 275 rub on the front? I wouldn't think spacers are really necessary?

Using the original rear wheels on the front is the source of the potential issue due to offsets.

I'm running a square setup and can confirm that it reduces understeer. More notably I'm much happier to be able to rotate tires.

At least with the Gen 1 S550s you'll need a spacer up front to accommodate rear PP wheels; I can't imagine Gen 2 would be any different.

Offsets are messed up, 52 or so for PP1.

Great info all! So no perceived issues with fitment, just over/understeer and perhaps rub, perhaps not? I'd probably go with the smaller ones anyway. Also understeer is easily correct in any car by adjusting tire pressure. I run 33psi front and 36 psi rear on my 13 GT and that effectively removes any built in oversteer from the factory :)

So who's got or going to get a GT w PP1 and wants my larger rear wheels/tires for their smaller fronts?
