That is interesting. The manifold actually has a big jump in the mid rpm range and not really sacrifices much at redline.

I'm thinking along the same lines. 2018 intake is probably a GT350 intake. When they lowered the price to $300 something a couple months ago made me think it's a standard part. Even though they quickly raised it back due to demand
 where everywhere ive looked they are still over 1k. but i keep hearing about this gt350 IM price drop.

The GT350 manifold price dropped briefly when Ford changed part numbers to a newer revision, the old ones got clearanced out and price spiked back up. No definite word as of yet on a price drop sadly. 1000+ for a composite manifold is a crime.

I'm personally waiting for the 2018 manifold. It is meant to increase power at upper RPMs with the extended range the 2018 engine has. If it is cheap and a simple replacement then it is a no brainer.

I'm thinking why *wouldn't* they just makes it the GT350 intake? Instead of two parts you only need one.

Considering the 2018 has a giant cover over the engine i wont hold my breath that it will be a direct replacement for the gen2 coyotes

Going by previous examples, the Gen I manifold fits on the Gen II coyote. I doubt Ford would make such a drastic change in the architecture of the coyote heads during a mid cycle refresh.

Sorry guys been crazy busy. I was able to do some field testing in Fontana last week, and the car feels GREAT!!! I was having trouble with traction, and had to relearn throttle application to get forward bite. With some new tires and a few tune revisions I think this setup is still showing great potential.

So you did revise your tune for this intake before taking it back to the track? We're the revisions done on a dyno or just datalogging?

I haven't had time to get mine in yet. I have an AED tune now and am waiting to see how it does before talking to him about a revision. I'm hoping to get to hockenheim or nurenburg with it before they close for the winter

Can you feel the jealousy oozing through your computer??? In the meantime, I've recieved my F-150 mani and hope to get it on next week. Want to try it untuned on my race car, then see what my tuner can do with it...gonna try to schedule dyno time for that....
