So the MT-82's 1:1 is 4th now?

That seems to be what the info says.So the MT-82's 1:1 is 4th now?
I don't see them getting away from the fuel economy 6th gear in today's environment. The GT350 has almost the same gearing 5th to 6th. It would be nice if we could get it's closer ratios from 1st to 4th though. That seems to be what the info says.
I really like having 5th be 1:1, and the close ratio feel. Moving to my '14 from an '02 (then back when I drive my mom's '03) The shorter ratios really feel good. The old wide ratio TR-3650 feels like driving a truck, now.
I'd like them to keep the ratios the same, and 5th being 1:1, but reduce the spread between 5th and 6th. The drop is way huge as it is now.
Someone should make a new 6th gear swap kit!
In response to this comment. I am used to Ford people knowing their products. Guys that " just work here" or are uninformed DO NOT work the COUNTER or the PHONES until they become knowledgeable. If this is not the case in this area that my friends is unfortunate. A knowledgeable counter man or parts guy are worth their weight in gold.Their parts department just looks up vehicles by VIN's and they kinda have "processes" that they follow. Their knowledge could range from enthusiast to "I just work here."
And it's going to be the MT-82. You're in a Mustang forum and you don't know that? Time to find a different car...
my 2010 cobalt ss had launch control and no lift shift as standard feature it was fun to use especially peaking at 24.5 psi of boost
No-lift shift is available in all gears on all models
Driver can keep the accelerator floored while pushing in the
clutch pedal and shifting gears
My parents use that dealership on a Fusion I bought them and I am NOT impressed with them at all.I am real close to ordering a 2018 Premium GT. Does anyone know what type of STANDARD TRANSMISSION if currently being installed into the Mustang. My 2011 had the MT82 and my current 2015 has the Automatic. It's time to go back to rowing the gears. Believe it or not the local dealer, Jones Ford in NC, did not know. Service was no help. Then I called Parts and they did not know I said you work in parts and you don't know??? Time to find another dealer.
This is from the 2018 eSourceBook in the other thread:Every thing you ever wanted to know about the 2018 is in the document in this thread. It includes what was posted above.

Damn, I never thought I'd see this as a factory feature on any car. Pretty awesome. Seems like it will be well improved over the current MT82.
