Eh, because you can definitely tell a difference when driving a Mustang vs a focus. You're not really going to tell a difference from that torsen, those brembos, that radiator, etc. when driving a PP on the road vs. driving a regular GT. Aside from maybe the bouncier suspension.

A firmer and more responsive suspension and brakes with better initial bite are things you absolutely will feel even though the amount of measured performance you're demanding of them was kept the same. And you might get spoiled by that, since you really don't have to be driving very hard to notice these things if you're either paying attention or just taking PP and non-PP cars on back to back drives over the same route.

I bet the difference from swapping a set of PP wheels and tires onto a non-PP and doing nothing else is something that quite a few people here would notice almost right away.

Though I suppose there are folks who'd have trouble noticing such differences and for whom a non-PP would be the better choice.

The difference between the two on the road is EASILY noticeable if you push the car at all, even to only 6/10ths. I'd argue the only thing you won't notice is the radiator.

Curious as to what your shifting routine is in traffic to get 24MPG. Not that I'm concerned about it but I'm getting about 16MPG. This is also my first manual.

Mixed highway/city is a solid 19-21 mpg.

Burning a full tank in town, 16 mpg is about right.

When I test drove 2016 models last year, I could easily tell a difference between a PP and a non PP. Hence, I chose the PP.

I’m about the same. Sometimes I can get up to 28 MPG on the highway with my feather-foot technique.

Changing the wheels and tires on my pp from pirellis to PSS was a night and day difference. The brakes and suspension were immediately noticeable on short test drives vs a base GT. I'd argue that if you can't feel the difference between the two you wouldn't feel the difference vs a Camry lol.

Yeah, the P-Zeros vs the PSS aren't even in the same league. I plan on doing the same thing.

They are glazed, take it up to 80 mph and hard brake it a couple of times, rinse and repeat.

To me, the biggest drawback for the PP is the 3.73 final ratio, too short for DD. Other parts are sweet, although you may not necessarily utilize all of them on the street.
