Seriously? Ah man, that's terrible!

Not to be evil but...are there pictures?

Nick C.

Here ya go...

P.S. Pic is taken a couple of days after the accident, when the car had been towed to the dealer bodyshop and I was in insurance purgatory (I actually thought the car was repairable!). The accident happened at 7:15 PM on a dark two lane road, so the pictures I took at the scene of the accident really aren't forum quality ;)

Hey, but that turned into this:

"The 1LE optioned cars and ZL1 are still coming." LOL! Yeah, both late in the year and even with a full year run, the volumes sold would hardly move the needle.

I imagine the also-ran ponycar will get a boost in the next 30 days with their fleet sales and more availability of the base T4 trim, but not a huge spike.

With the 5thGen Camaro, the fanboys played up the fact that it outsold the Mustang for many months in a row and held it up as a badge of honor, but now that the shoe is on the other foot, it's being downplayed. Hypocrites!

I remember that too.

The 5.0 was laying waste to the Camaro on the drag strip at every opportunity, the Boss 302 was utterly dominating on the road course...but by god the Camaro was outselling the Mustang, so that meant the public liked it more, "and that's what really matters since we're not always on race tracks"

Hmm..

It definitely works both ways. The Mustang used to be he better performer, but the Camaro outsold it. Now it's flipped. Fanboys are on both sides of the fence.

The other day I was driving down my neighborhood street when I saw a pristine, shiny clean burgundy colored camaro coming towards me. As it got closer I thought to myself I was seeing my very first 6G camaro on the road. When it got close enough I realized it was a 2015.

Now, it's just not me that has been saying this from the camaro release date. But it has in fact been hundreds of people in the comments section (the purchasing public) of articles I have read about this car saying the same thing I noticed.

They didn't do enough to change it's looks. If a guy who actually is into cars and specifically these types of cars is having a hard time distinguishing from a distance the difference between a 2015 and a 2016 just how in the world is the general buying public going to be able to?

The chicken has come home to roost. As the new and fantastically different looking S550's flood the roads month after the month the same old tired outdated look 2016 camaro's appear to become less and less significant...

Garagelogic and I (ViperTomcat from Camaro5) are both disenfranchised veterans of Camaro5, so it's more so the attitudes from the Camaro5/6 group we're mocking.

Yes there are fanboys on both sides, but these fanboys have very selective memory

The great thing about all the "money" posts are the fact that people LOVE to option out their cars. It doesnt matter what "cheap" trim is available. How many base GTs do we see on M6G? Not many. In fact, look at the last production numbers. The base GT makes up a small sliver. Yes, the SS is more expensive than the GT but the 2.0T and V6 models are well in line with the Mustang.

Yes, the turbo JUST arrived on the lots for the Camaro. People posting about them in the last week or so. If GM even sees 25% of it's sales come from the turbo then that puts the Camaro around 9k/month which isnt bad at all and impressive in its own right.

Mustang will outsell the Camaro this year and possibly for the whole run.

Now, would you seriously call the S550 "drastically" looking different than the last refresh of S197? It looks like a Mustang. As did the Mustang before it. Same with the Camaro. Hell, I have a hard time telling the new F150 apart from the old one but the new one is still selling 70k units a month.

Now, before all you special guys start spouting out fanboy etc etc, I WAS going to buy a GT. Yet, Ford stuck the MT82 so that completely lopped it off my list even as much as I liked the car. I just couldnt deal with the MT82.

Sounds like an excuse to mention on a Mustang forum on why you didn't buy an amazing car. I mean, that transmission is such a POS, RIGHT?

Next excuse.....

GM needs to put a fork in the ATS/CTS Alpha soon.
ATS sales were down 8.8% at 1,859 vehicles sold, CTS sales were flat at 1,499 vehicles sold...
After its all said and done, maybe the Camaro's platform will be Camaro specific  just never designed to be a Camaro.

The unfortunate truth still remains about performance too... the Camaro doesn't really have an advantage over the 2015-'16 GT. The Auto 1SS in the 1/4 is as close to an overall victory as they are gonna get.

I wouldn't track an auto at all. Most auto's will limit the output due to heat build up under spirited conditions. We can also see that the SCCA has t really got any new Camaro's.

It's impractical for daily use due to the interior and exterior dimensions. The SS is NOT a good replacement for the 5th Gen in Motorsport. They would have been better off just downsizing the Zeta. It would have been 200lbs lighter!!!

The Caddy twins will need to get the axe soon. When that happens, the Camaro's MSRP will skyrocket OR, it will need to cease production in Alpha form.

As it stands now, if Chevy hadn't removed the very valuable structural reinforcement to settle even with the Mustang, Camaro fans wouldn't have gotten anything.

The EBPP and GTPP are THE best looking Mustang's ever and it's the cheapest Sports Coupe in the World.

The ONLY issues with the Mustang are the smaller rear rotor on the GTPP and it needs more tire in the front (275).

The major issue with the platform is that it used ZERO lightweighting material. All the lightweighting was initially done BY DESIGN. Ford also included the GT350's reinforcement in the EB, V6 and GT.

This is THE heaviest Mustang lineup of all time. This is also THE lightest Camaro lineup in recent history

Think about it... all they really got was the A8 and a 200lbs weight reduction.

"Drastically"? YES!

This statement is so far off base it's laughable.

This goes well beyond reaching and lands in the category of absurdity. I don't see how anybody can seriously say a SN-95, S197 and S550 are anywhere near one another. They have styling cues that say mustang but if you can't see the drastic differences between just the S197 and S550...
Same with the Camaro.
Sorry.

Even chevy admits that the design was an evolution of the old one were Ford did a total makeover...

So the reasons in order are
1. The mustang is the newer model so of course it's selling better
2. Production wasn't in full swing.
3. General lack of availability
4. Lack of the Turbo model.
5. Cold weather
6. The mustang has been out longer (which contradicts what they said about the 5th gen)
Did i miss any excuses?
7. Half of camaro fans jump ship lol
