I had a 2008 Mercury Mariner and had an incident where it wouldn't start in a shopping center parking lot one very hot 100+ degree day. We thought it was because the factory security alarm triggered, though it turned out that wasn't the case.
In the process, however, I researched resetting the security system with the coded keys, even called Ford, and found out that if this happens you are stuck - the only way to reset the security system to start the car is to have it towed to the nearest dealer and have the dealer reset it. Wow!! That's just shocking, meanwhile your day is totally disrupted, you may have to pay for the tow and you likely have to pay the dealer.
The disruption is the big thing for me, every security system has "false positives", and there is no way I want to suffer through that to protect my insurance company. You probably already have full coverage - I say keep any security system that locks down the car so, I don't want it.
Note: It seems in the 2015 Mustang manual that this problem is a function of the coded keys and not the alarm system itself (see page 62-63 in the pdf below). Not a design I am happy with, resetting shouldn't be so difficult.
