Very sorry about what happened. Stuck with the bill? In most states, this would be covered by your Uninsured Motorists coverage.

Also guys now the car won’t start had to jump it after the accident. You guys think there is a short circuit somewhere ? The battery was good before the accident

I’m covered but the deductible is annoying but get it but just wanted to see if it would be totaled

There is no frame. The rear pillar and qtr panel are AHSS and once bent cannot be bent back without losing 50% strength so the would need to section the entire piece out that incl rear pillar, roof rail, a pillar down to rocker panel in a single piece and replace with OE spec adhesive and welding which few shops can do in first place.

I would demand write off. You can get Ford repair procedure via their small fee paid tech site to inform yourself and insurance in case they try a hack repair.

Did you have uninsured motorist (UIM) coverage? If you did, your insurance company will pay for the repairs or total.

Sorry for your loss man, I'm betting on totaled.

What happens when you try to start it? Does it crank and turn over? Does it click a bunch? My first thought goes to fuel pump shutoff. Probably best to try not to drive it if possible though

Is this damage from getting side swiped or from the rear of the car getting pushed forward? If it’s the latter, there’s potentially more damage underneath that you can’t see. The way it’s pushed out leads me to believe the hit from the rear pushed everything forward, not good. Just guessing based on your mileage and the values you mentioned, it will get totaled unfortunately

So it turned off after the accident but I could start it and move right after. Then when I turned it off waiting for FHP it wouldn’t turn back on would just click and light flicker but it was weird because the headlights would flicker one by one. So we jumped it and then it drove home now that it’s home it wouldn’t turn on at all no lights nothing. When trying to jump it it would only click and flicker I checked all the connections and they are good battery was newer only a few months old before the accident.

Yeah I’m good there just the deductible to pay but wanted to see if it’s gonna be totaled waiting on an adjuster now

Yikes. I’d bet the frame rails and potentially some other structural parts got damaged too. If you can get underneath the car or get a camera or something under there, take a look for anything that got bent or moved. Look towards the front to see if the exhaust got pushed forward too. If any of that got pushed forward, you’re looking at a total. Might also be an explanation as to why your car won’t start.

As others have said, and I agree, it looks like a total loss my friend. Getting hit from behind and having the quarters buckle and the damage all the way to the front end, the car is tweaked severely and would never regain the strength it had after repair is attempted.
Be thankful that your injuries are not severe. And here again, I would not recommend that you sign any release for bodily injury. It could take quite a while before you have symptoms from this type of accident. And should you at some later time develop symptoms and you signed a release with your insurance company you will be SOOL and on your own.

Start shopping for comparable mustangs in your area. You can use them to negotiate a buyout if they write it off.
