Was side swiped and rear ended which spun me out and then ran off so I’m stuck with the bill. Does anyone think there’s frame damage in the rear ? What do you think the cost would be

Year and milage? Any airbag deployment? My initial thought is it is not a total loss but those questions could change that.

You really won't know until you get a insurance estimate and they tear the car down. That quarter window panel damage looks pretty bad.
It all depends upon the cost vs current value factor.
I got rear ended in July.... 24K damage on my shelby but they did not total it because there was no frame damage and it's a 60k valued car.

Sorry what happened. The last year or so I've notice more and more reports in my area of same.

With the amount of damage, I'm assuming a police report was filed. It depends on the area and the case, but sometimes they can put out a BOLO to all the local body shops for a vehicle matching the description of the a-hole.

Friend of mine was run off the road in her ‘24 GT and the scumbag split. Fortunately there was plenty of white paint transfer to her red car so the racketeer, sorry I mean insurance company, is paying for the new ‘25 GT. Or, most of it anyway.

Given the value, I'd be shocked if insurance didn't total that. That damage to the quarters is a big deal.
Do they go off the private sale value or the trade-in ? I’m assuming private sale value

I really don't know. But I'd assume they would go off blue book value or something similar that gives an average value.

Sorry this happened to you. ☹

If they total it, just don’t take the first offer. They will push hard to get you to sign and close the claim. Be professional and polite and you can most likely get more than the initial buyout. Being an a****** will only make them stand their ground with their initial lowball offer.

This is why I put front and rear facing dash cams in mine. Seems like anymore if they're not a runner they're a scammer.
