Hey all,

Thinking about getting a mishimoto catted downpipes to go along with the magnalfow catback exhaust I just ordered.
Just wondering for those of you who have installed a new catted downpipe already, if it smokes or smells at all? Thanks

I am under the impression that if you have a cat your car will not smoke. When I had the stock downpipe no smoke, with my aftermarket Catless Downpipe I smoke just a little now. Honestly I believe the pcv is the problem. For example, my first motor didn't smoke with the same mods, this new motor does. That leads me to believe it's the pcv system.

I have the CP-e Catted down pipe. My car never smoked while stock or after upgrading. I still gutted the PCV and added a CC. It does smell a little bit but nothing compared to Catless. If you upgrade you're gonna have more smell than OEM regardless.

So yours just smokes a little? Hopefully then mine won't smoke at all with the cat. do you have a oil catch can installed?

A cat just masks the smoke if your car has the issue. Eventually, that cat will fail.

Mishimoto's cat isn't big enough to mask anything, you will still have smoke issues.

I have the Solo Performance turbo back exhaust which has a cat and I smoked last summer. I haven't seen any in he past few months but I would expect it will come back within a month or two as it gets warmer here.

Well I pulled the trigger on the downpipe. Doesn't seem like it will be that big of deal, so here's hoping! Thanks for the input.

Installed catted downpipe. put 400 miles on it, and she smokes a little. From what I hear a DVCC will help.

Mishimoto dp definitely smokes. smells a bit but nothing that bad. With my new exhaust I don't have any smoke issues though.
