If I remember right, you can setup a spare key to have some restrictions like not being able to turn off traction control. I think there's a speed limiter too? I don't think you can limit full throttle, but at least you can prevent a few things.
I know on my 15 you can put the car in Valet mode

Had a paint and body shop put ~8 miles on my 03 Marauder. I had drop off and pickup pics to prove it. They denied - techs AND owner. Lying through their teeth.

I’ve been wondering how I’ll deal with this with my new Mach 1. Photos. Dash cam. And now, I’ve learned about MyKey. Will have to get that setup.

Yeah, it's an epidemic these days. If you bring in anything even remotely fun, it will be "test driven". Last time I was at the dealer they unplugged the camera while it was in the yard, but before they did it they were already revving the crap out of it, lmao. At least in my case, the test drive they did after (which had no reason to even be done) was respectful. He only got on fully twice.

I'm more lax about this type of stuff than most people, because I get it. I find it hard to care if you want to have some fun for a little bit. But there's definitely a line that a lot of these dudes cross just because it's not their car. And 9/10 times, their service manager will cover for them since it's hard to get techs these days.

I just don't go anywhere with the car anymore and do my own work when practical. It's faster too, because then my car isn't sitting in some back lot waiting to be looked at.

He loved the GT3 more than the GT2? I mean, they both have their virtues and I wouldn't turn down either one, but it's hard to imagine getting used to twin turbos, and then liking the non-turbo version more.

Either car can make the driver go "Wheee!" and make a passenger go wee. šŸ˜„

Did our cars not have a valet mode in the menu?
...Or is it just too easy for dealer techs to find valet mode and undo it?

I might need to know, one day.

Valet mode doesn’t limit torque, only speed…unless I’m mistaken.

If I could've spent the same money and had the Coyote rev reliably to 9krpm I would've!

Nothing wrong with a GT2 RS, just having seen them both on track the GT3 is the one that I just have more love for.

My son dropped his Charger Hellcat into the dealer for a replacement front strut, when he went to collect the car lots of rubber stuck to the rear wheel wells. Pointed it out to the manager who claimed it was like that when it came in. After a few choice words and threatening to write a letter to Dodge the franchise owner and do so by solicitor, manager apologized and offered 3 free oil changes.

Edit lesson learned was reset all the meters and let them know you have done so.

I parked with valet at somerset mall Troy Michigan. I step outside for a moment and all I can hear is my engine roaring and my car flying down the road! I asked them wtf was going on and they made it seem like it was ok because it was the ā€œownerā€. F you and the owner wth.

Also if it was my current set up I bet he would’ve crashed it because there is no telling how violent the car is. Would’ve been wrapped around a pole.
