When I first started looking at the Mustang back in late 2015, the only criteria I wanted was a base magnetic GT with the Performance Package and the two tone seats (red/black). Now granted, I had really only been shopping on the Ford website and hadn't seen many of the other colors in person. When I went to my local dealership, they had almost every color sitting on the showroom floor all spread out like a deck of cards and I'll never forget the first time I laid my eyes on a ruby red mustang. I have NEVER been into anything red before and I didn't own ANYTHING red, but man that color really stood out to me.

I still had my heart set on the magnetic GT, so they found me exactly what I wanted and they waited til the weekend to go send someone up to get the car I wanted. Needless to say, I got a phone call first thing Monday morning from the salesperson telling me that the car they went to retrieve for me was sold out from under them and there wasn't another car exactly like I wanted in the radius they could choose from. The next day the sales manager calls me and asks me if I would be interested in coming to look at a car they were having delivered that afternoon from another one of their dealerships. It was a ruby red, premium GT with the Performance Package and the 50th Anniversary Package and 401A equipped.

Once I saw the car in person the deal was pretty much done. They gave me a few of the options at no cost, since the other deal went bad. I bought it in October so I got 0% financing, which helped me justify spending a bit more than what I wanted to. I couldn't be happier with the car I ended up with and the most ironic part was the fact that the dealership they were trying to get the magnetic GT from was from the town that I last lived in up in MD before moving to NC some 25 yrs ago.

I was shopping to replace my defective 2017 Camaro RS and also trade in my 1985 Corvette that needed a new engine and digital dash. I never really was into Mustangs. I was really looking to get a C7 Corvette and test drove a 2015 used and did not like it- rode hard, shifted hard, etc. So while driving around saw a nice used 2017 S550- red- decided to test drive it, it had a short throw shifter, did not like the shifting at all. So I kept looking, decided to test drive a brand new 2018 GT, base bare bones. I was test driving it only to get Mustangs off of my list and continue looking at other makes and models- Civic SI, GTI, etc. I was shocked and it was not at all what I expected- I loved the GT so much, I test drove it a second time a few days later to confirm how much I liked it and bought it. My GF loves Chevys and is a devoted Chevy owner and fan, she was shocked that I bought a Mustang. But we both really love the car.

A few years back, I had purchased a 2010 Camaro SS with a MT. Loved that car, other than the small windshield, but got used to it. It fit me like a glove and was a blast to drive. Unfortunately, I had to trade it in for something more economical due to a new job and having to drive long distance every day. Still regret that decision every time I think about it.
Anyway.... Since then I wanted a LZ1 and the opportunity never came up. Now that I work at Ford, I wanted to support my brand and test drove a 2018 GT one day. Wow! That thing hauled azz. It would have beat the pants off of my SS.
Due to my particular tastes, there wasn't any 17' or 18' Mustangs around that fit the bill. So I decided to order a 19'.
2019 Mustang GT Premium (had to have leather).
5.0, MT, PP1, 400A, shadow black with white racing stripes, B&O sound system.
I didn't want all the bells and wistles of the 401A package.

I litterally can't wait to see it when it comes in! Feel like a kid on Christmas Eve.

I had been wanting one for awhile and my mom always said something to the effect of when I started making $50k I could get one. Well, I got my $50k job and went out and got the Mustang before the first paycheck. Was originally going to get a Black or Ruby Red one, but once I saw Lightning Blue on the lot I knew that was the color I wanted.

I love my car and it is a big difference from the 14 Corolla I was driving before!

These Mustangs will be classic cars real soon as they are the very last Ford Motor V-8 passenger cars produced in the entire world period. Everybody is doing 2.0 liter DI engines across all brands and Ford is stuck on their Ecosoot motors. Get them while you can!

I almost ALWAYS order my cars so I can get exactly what I want. My last 3 daily drivers have been Lincolns...an LS, an MKS and a Continental. When I decided I wanted a 2018 Mustang GT, I knew I wanted all the amenities.....Premium, 10A, 401A, 3.55 axle, Active Exhaust, Safe & Smart package, Shaker Pro. I like Ruby Red but since my Continental is that color, I decided Oxford White would be nice...especially with the black accent package and showstopper red seats.

I planned to order exactly what I wanted when my dealer located the exact car at another dealership 150 miles away. The only difference was that the original dealer had added the black/red stripes over the hood and trunk. We made the deal and I have never had a car that I was more proud of.

We wanted another vert. Options were a GT, gen 5 Camaro, and gen 6 Camaro. Wasn’t interested in a gen 6 Camaro and from previous experience with GM and 1st year production it was ruled out. Test drove both a gen 5 Camaro (2015) and a 2015 GT vert back to back, the GT had less road noise and the 5.0 felt more responsive than the L99 6.2 and wasn’t impressed with the cylinder deactivation. So with the history of the Gen 5 Camaro and problems they had with their verts, poor throttle response, more road noise, and having to go used versus a new ‘16 GT, the GT was the best choice. Two years later there are no regrets. Motor runs flawlessly, the top has had zero issues. The only thing I’ll probably change is the shocks when Steeda releases the Koni active shocks.

Whet looking at S550's while killing time before a party on vacation in MI. Did the build your own online and sent the specs to my local dealer where we had just bought a '16 Explorer Sport. Wanted either DIB or RR with the Premium and PP packages. Withing three days he had located a couple in the area and I bought one that punched all the buttons sight unseen.

I had a MK7 GTI that was plenty of fun, and great bang for buck, but it sat at the shop for 1 month trips everytime.. I was able to lemon it. And since 2015 I knew I had to get a Mustang at some point. I checked with the insurance, and being 21 i was shocked that a mustang GT is less than a GTI because it has "no turbo" (thank you state farm!).+

I found the exact car i wanted, A 2017, black, premium with performance pack, no mods, one owner and under 20k miles. it was so perfect it was down to the recaro seats and FRPP exhaust. We found it in Vegas, so we buckled at 4 Am and made the drive out there.

Only manual I drove before was a 1998 jeep wrangler for about 100 miles total. And I had to drive my new baby from Vegas to LA. I put 12k of hard earned money down, and a month before my 22nd birthday I was able to buy a car that me and my friends couldn't even afford to dream of back in 2015. Everyday Im grateful for the beautiful Car i have, I Wash and detail her weekly, and will randomly stare at it for an hour at a time.

There are many other great cars on the market. But for me, nothing speaks to me more than a beautiful american v8, filled with character, soul and heritage.

Nothing quite like a 5 oh!

I bought my 88 GT in early 88. Knew every nut bolt, washer, wire, rattle, shake and squeak. Modded the hell out of it. Rebuilt the engine and the tranny too many times to remember. Put it away for the winter(as usual) and first nice day of 2014 drove it and wrecked on black ice. I teared up pretty bad when I told my son that I killed it. Vowed I'd get another Fox and build it but everything I found was overpriced and in crappy shape(never knew how well I cared for my car until I went looking to buy another) and I just couldn't imagine doing all the work I had put in over 25 years of ownership. Sold it the wreck to some lucky SOB for 2K. Started looking for a convertible and found a sweet looking 01 Cobra 2 months later. Drove that for 3 years but never really felt like it was "my car" if you know what I mean. Sold in early December 2017 for 3K under blue book and looked in my Mustangless garage everyday with a lost feeling. Lasted all of two weeks when I said two tears in a bucket and went and ordered my 18 GT A10 Premium Convertible Show Stopper Red interior in Shadow Black. Started buying mods the day after I placed the order. Picked it up in March 2018 and the love affair has begun! My Fox was brutal fast and scared the crap out of you over 110 mph in a straight line. This new beast doing 110+ with the top down is freaking awesome!! It just wants to go!! I don't give a crap what anyone thinks about an old man with no hair blasting around in a loud(resonator delete) beast of a car. Matter of fact..I sat in the garage yesterday just smiling. Yeah this car gives me feelings...my wallets lighter but I am happy

0% financing.

It had the options I wanted, and was offered with 0% financing.

I wasn't sure on the color at first, now I love it.

I was tired of the family SUV and wanted a muscle car. It had to be new with a stick and Black

The 16 Camaro looked kinda ugly and the Challenger was a big boat. I really liked the interior of the Mustang.

I was okay with a V6 but I just had to test drive the GT. When I heard that V8 I knew I had to find a way to get the extra $10k for it or I wouldn’t be happy.

It took a couple weeks for the wife to come around to the idea of buying such a expensive car but she really likes it.

2015 Mustang Base GT
I bought my 2015 Base GT auto after owning a 2013 V6 Premium convertible (used) that I drove for two years. The 2013 was my first Mustang and I loved it but I got sick of the convertible top wind noise, cold winters, and I wanted V8 5.0 from the beginning but didn't have the guts to pony (lol) up the cash.

So when the new S550 came out I had to get the V8. I bought it simply because of the engine. I just wanted a base Mustang - wasn't interested in frills.

In retrospect, it was a good choice as a platform to mod. But on the other hand I still smack myself for not getting the Premium package simply for the larger screen.

The 2018-19s are intriguing but I think I'll drive this one til the wheels fall off.

After driving one, I new one day I’d have one. I’ve owned other mustangs and they’re good, but the s550 is great. Dollar for dollar, new or used (more so used as that’s how I bought mine) I don’t believe you can get a better well balanced performance car. In addition to that, I feel that with the 2015+ cars, they’ve finally entered the 21st century when it comes to technology in general. The other generations have their place, but for what I like in a car and what I want out of my cars, it checks all the boxes

I bought it because:

1. Finished paying for youngest son's college
2. Finished paying for oldest son's wedding
3. It was a birthday present to myself
4. It matched the Mustang hat my wife got me for my birthday. She said "Here's the hat, now go buy the damn car." She hadn't seen the car. I wasn't even considering the MM, but once we went and looked at it, I knew it was the one.
