Ah yes great point I had not considered the throttle mapping itself. I wasn't worried about the extra parts as I was curious just to see the difference and that would be worth the entertainment for me... But I obviously hadn't thought it through all the way. Thanks.

I suppose I should change the order to include the throttle from the get-go and forget screwing around with the stock one.

After having some fun with the pump gas tune maybe ill call in and see if you guys feel close on your flash device before jumping on the e85.
Yup that's what I would recommend. I can't wait to see what these can do on E85, we're making some serious power on gas.

Im looking at the Pro-Charger and would like to be steered in the right direction. What would be the best kit as far as head unit etc. that would get me over 600 to the wheels "reliably". What do you guys recommend?
The HO system as it comes will EASILY do that with a nice custom tune for the fuel in your area. 650rwhp is about the limits of the kit as it comes, without going to larger injectors or a fuel pump booster.

You can do the STG2 intercooler, but you do not need it at that power level you are looking for. (other then just being able to "say" you have it)

So, save your $$$ and just get the HO kit, and live happy for years. :)

The only thing that scares me away from the Pro-Charger is the issues I have heard about, hasn't there been major issues with leaking oil? My buddy has one on his 05 GT and he can't keep oil in the damn thing other than that its flawless.
Leaking has been a literally a none issue for years and years. Sure maybe one gets out there that has a random seal failure, but that handled VERY quickly and fast under warranty. Though this is VERY VERY VERY VERY rare, so rare its nearly unheard of. We put MANY steps in place, to ensure leak free blowers. :)

Only thing I have to ask is why do the manufactures use roots style blowers instead of centri units..I would think the main thing on the manufactures mind would be reliability and having to fulfill the 5 year 100k warranty or whatever it may be. Just my 2 cents so maybe they know something we don't?
I have covered this many times already. A little searching on here, and you will find those posts, :) And save me from all the typing. :)

Yes, that's correct. We then have custom software that uses the temp differential in its logic for supercharger modeling and predictive torque.

Gauge cluster is IAT1 (MAF). Working on changing that, but its not an easy task. Boost and AF is calculated as well in the cluster, and its close but not 100% accurate.
I'm new to Ford Tuning, and it sounds like you know quite a bit about tuning these cars, so I thought that I'd ask, but is there a way to get rid of the MAF and run a Speed Density type tune like on a GM? Would there be any benefit if you could run an SD tune over the MAF?

Just curious and Thanks in advance!

By the way, I'm Sorry for hijacking your blower thread.

It is certainly possible as the 2015 Ford F-150 with the same module is SD. But it's not an easy conversion as you have to add the A 2 bar map sensor that it can work with and then rescale all the tables. But not all can always be rescaled. It's a bit tricky but it can be done.

I tuned my old C5 Vette using an SD tune. I don't know anything about tuning Fords though, but am looking forward to learning about them.

Thanks for the info! I Appreciate it!

My Pro-Charger HO kit arrived today and I also received the tune from Pro-Charger. I plan on installing it this weekend. But before I do so, I want to paint my inter-cooler black. Any thoughts or suggestions on what type of paint?

Any high temp black paint from auto store near you would do. Mighty Car Mods did this and saw temp drops of nearly 20 degrees actually.

Don't go heavy on the coating either
