Whoever the kid is on Youtube lost a TT motor due to OPGs.

Just sayin.
Hey Boss
Since you are one of the resident turbo gurus ,care to share your thoughts on putting twins on a GT 350 engine ?

If it was me? I wouldn't. Too high of a compression and I think the motor was designed for high revs and to stay N/A.

However so are the Lambos and Audis but Underground does some amazing stuff with them.

It seems you have some deep pockets so what the hell. Do it!!!!

I'm surprised you didn't talk to Lethal about a manual and the Whipple. They are, afterall, one of the only companies in the 9's with a manual on the Whipple.... I may be wrong though and that's with a solid driver. We've done about 30 S550 Whipple installs locally, most are in the 10's and some in the 9's.

Lol.
Thanks for the opinion.I don't know about the "deep pockets" and even though I am blessed to have a decent paying job ,this hobby is financed by taking extra call/moonlighting here and there as long as I am able to stash the extra cash away from the prying eyes of "wife eye" which seems to have a broader range than regular wi-fi" and is becoming increasingly difficult these days.lol

The GT 350 engine will cost me a little less than building a sleeved 5.2 long block with GT 350 heads and will have considerable less downtime since the engine is already to go .

To be honest I may start to wean my self off this "test and tune drag racing " which is becoming increasingly more expensive as I am constantly replacing parts (including engines).A flat plane 5.2 /TT on low boost may be the ticket since it may be so much fun on the street I would be willing to avoid(or at least cut back )drag racing if only to keep it alive .lol

I have been able to refrain from drag racing the GT 350 ,in part due to its miserable failure at the drag strip but mostly due to my fear of breaking it , so I may have similar success with this.lol It will probably have a better resale value and broader market than with the sleeved 5.2/running high boost which will be limited to hardcore drag racers.who would not want may be the next version of the GT 500 for relatively cheap?

Haven run several 9 second passes now on the old engine(and in my 12) having a "9 second " street car is nice for bragging rights but I was feeling increasingly uneasy running the car(at the few tracks that would let me )without the required safety equipment(which I never plan to have in the car) so trying to run 8's is completely out of the question for me .
Besides on the street I don't really think a 9 second is anymore fun than a 10 second car which is going to cost you overall less in the long term .

I don't think I will ever be brave or stupid enough to add FI to my GT 350 so it may also be the only way to satisfy my curiousity about how the engine will be with a little bit of boost .

OP,sorry for the thread jack but this may also help you make up
your mind.

Cant wait !
care to share how much boost?

I still have the option of the FP GT350 engine but my head tells me better to just stick to the sleeved 5.2 with CP cranks and GT350 heads.

We will have full sheets and images within the next couple weeks. We can say 7 psi is absolutely no problem! Another huge advantage of our kit is that the turbos dont pull on the front of the crank like a supercharger does! :headbang:

Wow!
Thanks for sharing .You may just have convinced to go with the FP engine .

Can you say if you were able to use the GT 350 exhaust manifolds ? It would be nice if you could as I am sure that contributes to the glorious sound that engine makes .

Nice!
Is 7psi Max boost what you consider safe?

Cam i assume the voodoo makes more power at that boost level than the coyote?

7 is definitely safe. The Voodoo is similar, but makes peak at a higher power band.
