When I had my acura rsx. I had a billet shift know. It would get hot in the Florida sun. I used to put a sock over it so I wouldn't burn my hands.

I ordered one of those little shifter hoodies yesterday. I think they're pretty neat 🤙

I don’t know, the S650 is a pretty good car for those that want a brand new Mustang. It’s no S550 Shelby but still a good Mustang.

The bigger “issue” might be a Shelby shifter hoodie on a non-Shelby car (assuming it’s not a new Super Snake ).

I would never own a 650. I'm not a "Mustang guy". I bought my car because it not only looks good, it's a work of art. I think the 650 is a failure by ford, but they're pretty good at failures.

And yeah, a snake hoodie on a lowly 650.

What’s shitty about it other than price, which still isn’t terrible for a 480+hp, RWD car that you can still get with a manual if you so choose? If the looks aren’t your thing, ok I can see that. But the performance side of it is basically S550 3.0 (2.0 being the 2018-2023 refresh).

There’s supposed to be another high performance variant coming for 2025MY, might be something there that tickles your fancy?

I wasn’t a Mustang guy until I bought my first one. I still enjoy other brands as well but for what you pay the Mustang to me is still pretty good performance value.

The Shelby’s do have a different look to them which is part of what makes them special IMO. But, at the end of the day it too is a Mustang, just a different breed.

Trying not to sound too fanboyish on S650 as I do think there’s elements of it that missed the mark. BUT, Mustang, Corvette and CT5-V BW are the last American V8 cars standing and only two of them have a manual option (again, for those that want it). Would y’all rather Mustang just blow away like a fart in the wind?

Do I wish Ford put more effort/thought into some parts of the car? 100% I do, there are some very glaring opportunities for improvement. But they also could’ve said eff it, competition is out so we’re out too. At least they have an opportunity to fix a few things on a S650 refresh (assuming they follow precedent and have a refresh in a couple years).

Like or don’t like it, totally your opinion. Just stating the lens through which I’m viewing.

I like the S650's allot. I got no complaints. The Bumper isn't really great looking, but it's not terrible either.

I like the interior changes. Some hate the screens, I sorta like them but don't need them.

I heard tuning was mostly locked out? That would annoy me. But stock for stock I had no complaints I would happily buy one if I wasnt locked into my current one for awhile.

Me too. I like the S550, it's the only mustang I really like. I love the coyote, just wish it had more cubes. Another fail by Ford.
